Charleston is the meeting point for the heartbeat of history in one incredible area. Step into the charm of yesteryear and explore the past or enjoy the quiet serene nature of the park for a time of relaxation. Lake Aire offers 35 acres of Charleston charm and is located just 20 minutes from historic downtown Charleston.

The Park is an excellent base camp for one-day trips to local plantations, Ft. Sumpter, historic Charleston or Folly Beach. There are many points of interest and incredibly interesting attractions in the lovely Charleston area. You could spend several weeks exploring all the flavor and history that is Charleston.

I found the husband and wife at check-in to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The Passport America discount policy was clearly explained to me on the phone; a 50 amp pull through FHU at 15% discount was reserved as no 50% 30 amp back ins were available. At check in I asked if any 30 amp were now available. They called the on site host, L 12 had left early so they happily put me in that site. Good laundry. Small sites but did the job. Yes, many long term but friendly folks. Dump station and propane refill available. A very good bargain at the PA price I paid. I would stay here again.

Like others, we booked through Passpost America (PA) expecting the normal 50% discount. When we checked in they said there we no 30amp sites available where the discount applied, even though that’s how we booked the site. They refused to give us the discount on another 30amp site saying all the discount sites we taken by longer stay campers. Then we get to our site and it is completely underwater. They allowed us to switch but it was to a 50amp site that we didn’t need. Of course they charged an upgrade price. We ended up spending over $200 for a four night stay. The campground itself is OK

There was allot of construction (not their fault, but noisy), very active (day and night) train very near the campground, bathhouse clean, but very small showers. Water would not regulate and stay there. Either it was cold or scalding. Office staff was very nice.

Spent 10 days here waiting for next move to Savannah. Great location to explore Charleston from. A little remote but that's fine. Shopping close enough. Park is ok nothing special. They were clearing the woods in the center and burning while we were there. Guess they are expanding. There seemed to be quite a few permanent residents. It worked for us...management was good.

Beautiful little campground. Staff friendly and courteous. We arranged for one night and asked to extend one night, which they accommodated by having us move, but we were able to extend our days in Charleston. Most definitely would stay here again. 35’ motorhome w/toad

This was our first time here and we would definitely return, but only during the dry season. This is low country and the water table is high. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were led to our site which is always a nice touch. The interior roads are gravel and contained many potholes however there were a couple of piles of gravel nearby so hopefully it will find itself in these potholes very soon. The campground is very quiet. You can hear trains in the distance but not too often. A big plus for this park is that it is only about fifteen miles from downtown Charleston.

I agree with all the posts here about PA and the bait and switch tactic they use here. My husband booked here and told them we were PA members. We were only here for 2 nights but wanted our discount. When we checked in the office asked if we wanted a pull through. Hubby says okay. They don’t tell you until after you pay that the pull throughs don’t get the full PA discount. Then after we were all parked and hooked up it rained. If there is rain in the forecast DO NOT STAY HERE! We were on site K6 and we literally had to wade through 1-2 inches of water and my husband was in ankle deep water

We only stayed here two nights, but the facilities were excellent! Everything was well maintained and clean. The the site was beautiful. The pool is clean and the laundry room was very convenient. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. We had 50 amp service where they pull through site. The woman at the front desk was extremely friendly. We brought our two dogs and they had doggie bags posted all around for cleanup which was very convenient. People staying there were very friendly. There was a beautiful pond with cute little ducklings and birdhouses and trees to attract some beautiful

Had a great time spending 4 nights here with my kids! The grounds were kept up very well. It's a rainy area, so I expected the wet roads. No noise issues, I felt safe. My kids really enjoyed walking around and seeing the ducks. The playground was very nice. The pool was on the smaller side, but it was never crowded and always appeared cleaned. Never had any issues with dropping off garbage in the bins. Bins were always empty when I went by each morning. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Bathhouse was what I expected. Each campsite had its own picnic table and little space for a small fire if you
