American HVAC is a small personable business founded & operated by Steven Short. Being a native of Utah County, Steve began his long-standing HVAC career after graduating from Pleasant Grove High-School in Utah during the year 1982.
Since then Steve has earned a wide range of HVAC expertise serving many of the well-known local heating and cooling companies, beginning with Gunther's Comfort Air from American Fork Utah, then on-ward's to other memorable companies, including some of the late-greats which were instrumental in forming the talents of American HVAC, paying tribute to Thompson & Sons of Midvale & Lewis & Guymon from Orem.

Our AC compressor died a few weeks ago and the heat was miserable! I called Steve on a recommendation from my wife's friend and am very happy I did. He answered on the first call and after I described our situation he explained a few options on how they could help us. The estimate was very fair, and he came out on a weekend to walk through our home and explain what would be done. They just finished the install and our house is COOL again with a much better system! He even fixed some of the shortcuts the original contractors left that were preventing the system from working its best. These guys

Steve Short and his associates did a fantastic job! They removed my old furnace, air conditioner, and thermostat and replaced all three with new equipment. They installed a superior filter box and filter that traps more dust and other air-born particles than my old one. They were on time, provided professional services, and the price was more than fair. I would recommend Steve Short to anyone.

Steve and his team just finished replacing our furnace and AC. We were very impressed with the job they did.
Process was really easy and Steve was good to work with. He sent us all the details in just the way we liked it - nice charts to lay out options to find what fits our needs and budget.
Install was awesome - they did great work and made a pretty quick job of it too. Everything looks top notch.
Steve and his crew couldn't be nicer - very happy to have them working and replacing our AC and Furnace at our home. Absolutely recommend American HVAC.

This group did an awesome job installing a new Heating and Air conditioner. They took extra time to build an alternate access to the filter at no charge that made it easier to change filters when needed. They quickly installed both items and kept in contact with us through out the process all at a very reasonable price. I will be referring his services to people in need of these services.

Steve did great work and was quick as well. Steve communicated very well about the process and when he would come. I was impressed with all the tiny details like screwing down piping that wasn't screwed down originally or the nice filter box allowing for both one inch or four inch filters. I would highly recommend American HVAC.
