In 1987, Josephine Ames left the security of teaching and started J.C. Cleaning Service as a residential cleaning service. A few years later, her husband Bill retired from teaching and joined the growing company. With his expertise in home building and repair, Ames Services Limited was created to service every homeowners needs and wants.
The "soup to nuts" attitude, hard work and total dedication to business assured steady and significant growth. It was just a matter of time until the opportunity to expand into commercial and industrial maintenance services presented itself. In 2000, Mark Cheyney, Josephine's son, left the chemistry profession to join the family business as an entry level technician.

Ames Janitorial Services understands a home is more than 4 walls and a roof. It is the place where we raise our families and create memories. A home is also one of the single largest investments anyone can make and we recognize that. Taking care of your home and keeping it clean and in good repair is very important to you, except that so many of us have such busy schedules it is sometimes difficult to give your home the TLC it deserves.
Our Special Services Division is virtually unlimited in the scope of services we provide, in fact with such a broad range of capabilities, it is the most frequently requested service we offer. Offering our special cleaning services to Lancaster, Lebanon and Dauphin Counties. Ames Janitorial Services offers High Quality Carpet, Rug and Upholstery cleaning.

It took several years for me to find a reputable company to handle our larger cleaning needs. They took over and suddenly all of the issues I had with similar vendors went away. I can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of work from the whole crew. Never a complaint. Highly recommended!

Palm Lutheran Church needed cleaning help while our Sexton was on vacation. Mark came to the church promptly to learn how we clean and disinfect after services. Amanda came to clean and disinfect right after our Christmas Eve service. She did a fabulous job, was on time, very friendly, and helpful. This company provides a wonderful service.
