While most kids grumble at being told to mow grass as part of their weekly chores, I started a lawn mowing route at the age of 10, with five weekly customers.This helped me earn enough money to buy a "Honda Spree" that I wanted so badly by the end of summer 1989. My dad let me use our family's Honda push mower and Stihl trimmer and blower, and I learned to do the preventative maintenance for them to keep them running.

Terrible company. First time I gave them a power washer I never got it back. Second time I took in lawnmower never got all the pieces back. Both times I never received a call from company. I could go on and on but to keep it short this is a bad company.

Sold me a green works trimmer which was being faded out. They didn’t tell me. I should have known. Under warranty, they refused to service it. I had to go to Normal Il. Watch out what you buy there, they might discontinue the brand.

One star because there isn't a lower option.
I got my snow blower back from Springfield Mower and Power Equipment today, along with a bag of parts.
To be clear, it ran before they picked it up to “service it.” Now the carburetor is in pieces, and I need to find someone to put it back together for me. And I got to pay them $60.84 for the labor.
On top of that, the mower they “serviced” for me over the winter cost me $349.06 to service, and they returned it with a flat tire and the deck is still not level.
It seems like the only thing Springfield Mower and Power Equipment is good at,

Worst experience I have ever had with automotive or lawn mower repair. Company came and picked up my rider on March 25, 2021. Didn’t hear from them for over a month. Called and was told by Adam it would be ready in Two days! One week later called on a Thursday and was told it would be back to me in two days, again. Never heard from them. Called MAY 11th. Said they would see what the holdup was. Texted me the morning of May 13 and said I owed $80 dollars and that they were dropping it off unfixed with no explanation. I called and was told about 1000.00 dollars would fix it. It took 7 WEEKS for

Rude employees, guy acted like he didnt care. Wouldn't answer my questions. They didnt fix the broken weld I asked them to. They welded some other crack they found but I wouldn't call it a weld it was terrible. Charged $165 to replace a deck belt! Seriously!!

After three weeks of waiting and two failed attempts and two hundred dollars to fix a self propell issue. Tried to mow my lawn with my self propelled mower and the mower fell apart on the ground. Not a single bolt was tight. Was completely appalled at the lack of customer sympathy, respect, and safety for the customer. Never going to come back here again. Would advise against it.

Springfield mower may only be a few years old, but they bring a huge amount of experience. The owner, Rob Kalabus, runs a top notch business and I have always found he and his team to be highly ethical and full of integrity. Appreciate my dealings with them and trust what they tell me. Would recommend them to anyone for a new purchase, or repairs to your equipment. Keep up the great work.
