We design and implement industrial steel bracing for your home's foundation, screwed into solid earth, to stop shifting and settling. We don't sell the same solution for every home. We apply engineering principles to the structural issue putting your home's stability at risk. Our properly engineered, technical solution will fix the issue once and for all.
In 1959 there was a flood in Columbus that caused basement walls to bow, buckle and cave in. As a solution, Joe and Charlie began installing a series of steel "I" beams along the bowing wall to prevent additional movement. Pressure grouting is a cost-effective alternative to concrete slab replacement.
The soil around your foundation places a great deal of pressure on your basement walls. This pressure will vary based on the types of soil that are present, how much moisture is in the soil, and how far underground your foundation extends. Other factors, such as hydrostatic pressure, expansive clay soils, frost, incorrect gutter systems, and a poorly graded lawn can also contribute to foundation issues.
It is important to make sure your basement is kept dry, safe, and healthy. Doing so can help to preserve the home's structural integrity and prevent additional problems in and around the home.
Water is able to get into the basement in a variety of ways, including over the top of the foundation, through the cove joint, through leaking wall or floor cracks, through the basement window, through the cove joint (where the wall and floor meet), or the problem could be related to a plumbing issue.Moisture here can cause a lot of expensive damage, including wood rot to support beams and floor joists.
