Sights & Sounds is an antique shop located in Milan, Ohio the birthplace of Thomas Alva Edison. While handling a broad line of general antiques we specialize in anything Edison and have a particular emphasis on phonographs and custom made wood horns. We make custom wood horns for all machines that are reproductions of horns originally sold with them.
We have also developed several new attractive designs using inlay work and laser engraving. We have a number of wood species and many stains allowing us to build a custom horn to match your machine. We always have a number of machines in stock and also repair machines, their wooden cases, and horns with a large inventory of spare parts.

Services
Pricing depends on several factors including horn type, wood selection, finish, and special effects. Prices are subject to change and we have special discounts for repeat customers and/or multiple orders. An exact price will always be given at the time of an inquiry when referencing one of the models displayed in the horn picture-gallery pages.
We are capable of repairing almost any wood horn. We do not repair metal horns. It is much easier to repair a split or joint if someone has not already tried fixing it with epoxy, etc. and we do not like to rework other "bad job repairs". Please Contact Us first before attempting a repair if you do not have experience with this type of work.
We only charge the actual cost to pack a shipment (usually under $25 for a horn). We pass on the actual shipping cost from the transportation provider and the cost of any insurance purchased from them. We know how to pack. To date we have never had a shipping claim (and always pack items to the best of our ability) but cannot control the handling of the item during shipment and cannot be responsible for damage.
