There are two different types of springs used on garage doors. Torsion springs are attached just above the closed garage door, while extension springs are located above the upper tracks on both sides. It's important to know whether or not a garage door company provides service for your needs. Our garage door was broken and I scheduled three quotes to get it fixed. Ellis guy came out (I assume it was Owner) showed up on time. Quickly gave me assessment and said he could fix it that day. I had two other quotes so told him I would call him back. Long story short he quoted me WAY less than the other 2 guys that came out. I scheduled him the next day and he came out to fix the door. Not 15 minutes later door was fixed and worked great. I told him what other contractor had said about needing a automatic garage door opener and he laughed. I didn't feel like he was trying to hustle me
