Offering psychotherapy for adults & college students seeking relief for stress, anxiety, and sleep problems. Starting psychotherapy is hard enough without feeling alone trying to navigate finding a therapist. People come to Ayama because they want to trust that they are going to receive needed guidance from the point of first contact.

Our well-established, health-minded psychotherapy practice provides individual attention, while drawing from empirical evidence for what works for a fulfilled, healthy life when stress or anxiety arise. We work with college students and adults (age 18-108+) who want support and guidance in managing life, stress, anxiety and health (sleep, weight/body image).
Services
We are clinicians valuing overall health and intentional living. Our therapists balance appreciation of the individual, while drawing heavily from empirical evidence of what works. Most people with sleep problems are very tired, describing having "tried everything" to sleep better.

They are very surprised to discover that tossing and turning during the night in an effort to sleep can be relieved in a long-term manner, without medications and typically within a handful of sessions.I especially enjoy working with clients to find better sleep, including more restful and restorative sleep.
We take referrals for psychotherapy for anxiety, life stress and insomnia. If you are referring for insomnia treatment, feel free to share this handout. Please note that we often have a wait for our services but clients can be on our mailing list to know as soon as openings occur. To make a referral: 1) fax over referral information (888-965-1813) so we have a clear idea of your reason for referring and 2) have the client calls us (814-954-7607).

Step 1: Know that any problem you identify will be welcomed with non-judgement by a therapist who is a good match for you. At our office, we work with life stress, anxiety and insomnia, from college age through retirement. You can also read a description of what is involved in therapy at our office.
For more copies of homework forms, which cannot be distributed or used except as directed by your therapist. This paperwork can be downloaded and is to be completed prior to the first meeting with one of our therapists. Our administrative assistant, Jen, will be in contact with you about details. Release of information: To give permission for us to speak with someone about your treatment, you must sign a release of information.

I have had chronic insomnia for 20 years. I have seen many sleep specialists and psychologists and never found the "cure". After 3 sessions with Dr. Alyssa I have slept fully for 11 out of the last 13 nights; It is a MIRACLE!!
