What is Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Utah? The majority of all Ogden Utah bankruptcy Attorney consumer bankruptcy filings are for Chapter 7. For those in dire financial straits, Chapter 7 provides a means for a fresh start. Chapter 7 is oftentimes referred to as liquidation because debtors are required to sell their non-exempt resources and distribute the proceeds to creditors.

While the prospect of liquidating your property is indeed troubling, the key here is that debtors are only required to sell non-exempt resources. In many instances this means that debtors can file for Chapter 7 without. What is Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Chapter 13 differs from chapter 7bankruptcy because the debtor actually repays some or all of the debt.
Services
If you are like most people in financial distress, you are probably experiencing a great deal of emotional trauma and feelings you may have never felt before. Seeking help from a bankruptcy attorney in Utah can help ease the pain of insurmountable debt, relieve the sting in your ear from creditor phone calls, and give you hope for a financially secure future.
I was looking through my website and I noticed I have not told my potential clients about me. I was born in upstate New York. My Dad worked as a electrical engineer for GE that is what took my family to that part of the country. My favorite thing about New York was the trees and fall time. The colors of fall time are amazing up there.
Filing bankruptcy can be one of the most difficult choices a person makes. Often you have been struggling to meet your financial obligations. Something happens and the house of cards comes tumbling down, leaving you faced with a proposition that seems like failure. It is difficult and frustrating.
Experience is highly valuable in the practice of bankruptcy law. Unfortunately, the collapse of the real estate market, the decline in the stock market, and the recent economic hardships facing many Americans has drawn out a large number of inexperienced and/or unqualified lawyers who want to "get a piece of the action" while bankruptcy filings soar.
Mortgage lenders and real estate agents are quick to push a homeowner who is behind on their payments into choosing a short sale, instead of letting their home go into foreclosure. In a short sale, the house owner agrees to sell the house to a potential buyer for less than the amount owed to the mortgage company.

This guy is a joke!!! he got our bankruptcy dropped or canceled court dates over 6 times in aa year.. he lost our only transportation.. two vehicles we had paid years on.. he would not return calls or texts. he wouldn't forward letters from the courts to us. when we finally did get to court.. he sent a stand in attorney that knew nothing.. we… still hadn't been able to ask him about our cars.. not to mention the cars got removed twice and he took care of it and we got them back.. the 3rd time we didn't get them back.. for him to destroy lives like he is doing.. he is not being held accountable

I have had a terrible experience with this law office. I turned in all my paperwork in April of 2019 to have my bankruptcy done. They said it would be 2-3 weeks to get a case number. After a month I tried to call back. Sometimes I could get a hold of them and they said they are working on it. Around June, July I began to wonder what I was going on. I called at least 50 times probably more, left messages when it would let me, sent emails and even tried to stop by the office as well a few times. I have never had such a hard time getting in contact with someone who I am paying to represent and help

With this Covid 19 going on Paul was great to work with over the phone and texting. I was able to turn in the requested documents by taking pictures of them and texting them. Thanks for being so helpful in the bankruptcy.

Short story. It took 7 months for them to file my bankruptcy and get a case number. That’s only after emails, stopping by the office and too many phone calls to count. Thanks to that I lost $1,900 in taxes I should have been able to keep. Very devastating for a single mom trying to get by. Office is unprofessional, terrible with communication and he does not have the best interest of clients. I have given him an opportunity to make things right and he has ignored me for a month and a half. Save yourself the headache.
