Services
Keajra Kadampa Buddhist Center is a not-for-profit organization whose aim is to help others find inner peace through meditation and practical advice from Buddhist wisdom. We are a member center of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT), a global association of more than 1,100 Buddhist Centers and branches that follow the teachings of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
The meditation classes we offer are suitable for all individuals whatever their level of interest, from those who seek simple relaxation and stress relief, to those who wish to learn about Modern Buddhism. Everyone is welcome regardless of belief; you do not need to be a Buddhist to attend. A typical class consists of a simple relaxation meditation, teaching, discussion and final meditation.
This center is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), a Mahayana Buddhist tradition founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso that is derived from the Buddhist meditators and scholars Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa.

NKT is an association of study and meditation centers dedicated to helping people everywhere find meaning and purpose in their lives, and to the developing of genuine inner peace and happiness.Putting Buddha's teachings into practice in the context of our family and work commitments, we discover they are unsurpassed methods to resolve daily difficulties and problems.
If you are interested in joining a study program, or just want to find out more about it, you are welcome to attend this introduction class. We are just beginning the book, The New Eight Steps to Happiness - The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness, so it is a great time to join Foundation Program.

The next step in deepening your practical experience of Buddha's teachings, FP is a second-tier study program that studies one Buddhist text at a time in a systematic way.Foundation Program classes include guided in-depth meditations, commentary to the text, chanted prayers, discussion, and the company of spiritual friends.
The Center is a nonprofit organization that depends 100 % on voluntary help and donations from members and supporters. There are many volunteer opportunities available at the Center. This is a wonderful place to go on a Sunday. I liked it better when the Buddhist nun was in town, but this is still a nice place to go for meditation.
