Our focus is on providing family law and estate planning services to clients in Utah and Salt Lake counties. Our estate planning services run from a simple will to estate plans involving trusts and power of attorney documents.

Limited scope representation, or "unbundled services" as it is sometimes called, is retaining an attorney to assist with a specific, limited part of a legal problem. While having an attorney handle an entire matter from start to finish is ideal, that is not always possible for some clients. In those situations, limited scope representation can provide assistance with the portion that most concerns the client.
A. No, if you are fine with how the state will distribute your estate after your death. Utah law favors the surviving spouse and children in distributing assets when someone dies intestate (without a will). Most people would want to make distributions to people not mentioned in the statute, so most people should have a will to make their wishes clear to their family.

Mr. Shinen recently helped us with our guardianship case. He was absolutely amazing to work with!!! He explained everything to me in terms that I could understand and made everything so much easier! Our case was complicated and he went above and beyond to find the best solution to every problem we came across. He took something that was very stressful and made it so much easier, and gave me the peace of mind I needed. He kept me well informed at all times, and always returned my phone calls quickly. I will defiantly use him again in the future, and I highly recommend him to anybody he is searching
