Concerts Much of the pavilion renovation was paid for with funds raised at the four benefit concerts held at the middle school. Today, free concerts are offered on the lush lawns each month in the summer. Events Parmelee Farm is the site for many events throughout the year. The farm can accommodate pubic and private events small and large with prior approval.
Education The Farm has hosted many small and large educational events from dry stonewall workshops, to fitness classes and camps, to baroque ensemble rehearsals. The Farm Committee's mission is to connect our community to the natural environment and cultural heritage of Killingworth through education, agriculture, preservation, passive recreation, and the arts.

Services
Plot registrations for new gardeners are accepted at the Town Clerk's office. Please email Mary at killingworthcommunitygarden@gmail.com with any questions or to renew or reserve a plot. Individual plots ( 20'x 20') are $30 per year. The Killingworth Community Gardens' mission is to provide residents with an opportunity to come together for the purpose of food production, environmental education and to encourage multi-generational gatherings.
The Horace Parmelee House, formerly known as the Bosco house, was built in 1847 and occupied by Horace and Eunice Parmelee. Architecturally, the house is a late example of the post-colonial or Federal style. Horace is shown as occupant of the house on the 1859 map of Middlesex County. In the 1950s, the house was run by the McGrath family as a bed-and-breakfast known as "Farm in the Dell."
Promotion of community gatherings, environmental awareness, local agriculture, and healthy living are among the primary goals connected with the resurrection of Parmelee Farm. The inauguration of the Parmelee Farm Market in 2015 is a natural extension of these goals and a project long in the planning.
The Community Gardens has expanded its mission to include a 'Shared Harvest Garden' which is a food pantry garden started eight years ago at Parmelee Farm. Shared Harvest Garden is planned and worked by a team of community volunteers who learn and share their knowledge of gardening and enjoy meeting their neighbor gardeners.
Many individuals, organizations and businesses have supported the Farm, through donated labor, materials, event sponsorships, programs, workshops, and general participation in its development. As the Farm, as a community center, evolves we look to add more and more opportunities to help you find "your place at the farm".

Lovely, lovely outdoor space. This was a large artisan market with some food. Many vendors under the large pavilion, others around the grounds with individual canopies. Plenty of room to sit and eat, picnic benches placed in several locations. Nice restrooms; not just portolets, although the one we saw was very clean! The historical buildings were interesting and well kept.

Had a nice walk with our dog here on an easy trail. Dogs have to be on leash at all times now. The trails vary in level of difficulty and they have nicely placed signs for local flora. It's a pretty spot and they have a good map, good size parking lot, public restrooms and a water fountain near picnic tables. We haven't gone to an outdoor concert here yet but I see them advertised during the summer. One of the trails is an overlook so we'll be back to explore that one.
