Financial market history is a history of cycles (or like the swings of a pendulum), moving from one extreme to another. Market history teaches us that undervalued assets can fall further, and overvalued markets can overshoot even further on the upside. It is simply the reality that comes with being a long-term investor.
Davenport & Watts was founded in 2003 when Sonny Davenport and Jane Watts joined forces with the goal of serving clients as they would want to be served.
Sonny had worked as a CPA for 35 years rising to the level of co-managing partner of Davenport, Holliday & Spring, CPAs, where he had worked extensively with business owners and associations helping to solve problems in every phase of business, including accounting systems, taxes, bonding, finance, succession and estate planning, retirement plans, and debt restructuring.Jane had been a career professional and financial advisor for over 20 years.

Sonny graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Delta State University. He has practiced as a CPA and financial advisor for over 40 years. Sonny and his wife, Glinda, are active in St. Phillips Episcopal Church. Sonny is an avid aviation enthusiast, and especially enjoys flying pets through Pilots N Paws Rescue Service (pilotsnpaws.org).
Davenport Watts & Drake Investment Advisors, LLC manages the assets of its clients using the core strategies of asset allocation, asset diversification, and periodic rebalancing while utilizing a long-term perspective and minimizing income taxes. Along with our own experience and expertise, we use Litman Gregory Analytics, LLC[1] for our base investment platform.
