Dill's Greenhouse
Dill's Greenhouse is a local family business dedicated to offering our customer the best possible shopping experience by providing them with superior quality, selection and customer service - all at a fair and honest price. We are a knowledgeable team eager to share our love of gardening, and to earn our customers' business.

We grow our own annuals, perennials, vegetable plants, and hanging baskets at Dill's. Almost all of our Nursery stock is Ohio Grown, increasing the success rate of our trees and shrubs. Our tropical plants are shipped directly from Florida and unloaded into our greenhouses. We carry a full line of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and fertilizers, and our knowledgeable staff can help you choose the right product for your gardening needs.
Services
A note about custom potting: Although Dill's has many beautiful baskets and containers ready for you to take home, we know that sometimes you have something else in mind that we may not have already planted. Or perhaps you have containers that you use each year but do not want to plant them yourself.
We're certain you've heard it numerous times: fall is the best time to buy your Japanese maple. Have you come into the garden center to pick one? Did the varieties overwhelm you? Let us make it easier for you by explaining Japanese maple differences. Cool and classic or chic and contemporary, no matter what your style, you'll always be proud of an entrance flanked with beautiful containers highlighting just-right evergreens.
Fresh vegetables don't have to end as the days grow shorter - fall is a great time to plant an autumn garden to extend the growing season. Transform summer garden pots, planters and window boxes into magical displays this fall. The addition of mums, winter pansies and ornamental cabbage and kale are always excellent choices but you can really spice things up with the inclusion of a few of these colorful, cold-hardy selections.
Well once you're into June, people wonder what next? The gardens looking good. But sometimes things just don't make it. Sometimes you find a spot over here that you really want to add something and it's not too late in June. Some things that you fertilize, and this would be true for regardless of when you're doing it, more is not necessarily better.
Fall is an excellent time to start a compost pile with all of the leaves falling, and if you develop compost now, you will have a rich source of organic material for your garden and flowerbeds in spring. It's fall and our annual and vegetable gardens are winding down for the season. Now is the time to invest a little extra time and effort to prepare your soil for next year.

They had a nice variety of succulents, which is what I am always looking for, and tons of beautiful and healthy annuals/perennials.

Wonderful service, healthy plants, HUGE selection of annuals, perennials, and trees. The guy in the nursery knew exactly what he was doing and was able to answer all my questions - and when it comes to $150 trees, I have a lot of questions before I can make a commitment. But this is a top-notch nursery and greenhouse.

Good selection of flowers and garden accessories/decor. They even have a six foot dragon 🐉 for sale. I shop here every time we need flowers or garden supplies.

I usually love Dills for the variety and options but they are really annoying for how they accept the coupons they send out. I've tried twice now to use the $20 off of $200 coupon they send in the Valpak and there seems to be a different reason each time that is not specified on the coupon for why they won't accept it that day. Nothing is more annoying to me than ridiculous exceptions to a coupon you chose to send out.

Just left Dills and was talked to like I was supposed to know what plants were annual and what plants were perineals and where they were kept. I told the sales woman I am just asking a question. She was again smart with me and I said I am just beginning to plant so i dont know. Why do I have to explain myself in order to be treated with any kind of respect? Perhaps bc I didnt look like her therefore she was irritated that she had to answer questions. I go to a go to a nursery for the knowledge of the staff and to learn. Not to be disrespected. They lost my business.

One thing first time visitors should know, there is only one, narrow little road to Dills right off the side of a highway. When leaving, it's best to take a left out of the parking spots, follow that little road around and it will lead you back to a main road.
Dills itself is very simple, no frills. You won't find anything exciting or new, not exactly a place for collectors. Very healthy looking tomatoes, herbs, and sunflowers. Highly recommend at least one visit, the staff are super friendly.

I've wanted to visit Dills for a while so timed a visit to Lancaster to include a stop. We were underwhelmed.

They have a nice selection of plants and friendly staff, but the plants were not well cared for (lots of bone dry pots and dead or dying leaves). The sections weren't well organized or labeled, so you had to wander around or find help to locate specific items.

The prices are comparable to other Central Ohio garden centers. I found the staff more accessible, but the quality lower, so will likely not plan a specific trip back, but wouldn't refuse to visit.

0 stars, had to give one to enter review. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a greenhouse/nursery. No help, rude and way over priced. All I can say is shop around, there are plenty of places with knowledgeable and friendly staff and way better prices. Also bought a plant for $20 that died a week later, would not honor a refund. I have the last laugh, my husband and I had brought our truck because we had seen several trees we wanted, approximately $2000.00 worth (doing extensive landscaping) but after denial of refund took our business elsewhere. So happy we did, better plants, price

Dill's Greenhouse was suggested to me by a gardening-savvy friend who has been buying plants there for 30 years, and I'm so glad I gave it a try. Being in a high-risk group for Covid-19, I opted for curbside pickup. I emailed my order, they called to let me know about the one item they didn't carry and to get my credit card information. When I arrived, I called to let them know where we were parked, and they put the order in the hatch. The staff was super nice, and they were wearing masks, which made me feel safe. All the plants were in excellent condition, and the prices were reasonable

Now this was a fantastic place to visit. I ended up buying tons of flowers and vegetables seeds. Such as pumpkins, cayenne, habanero, Italian parsley and more. I guess I was a tab bit early, but I still struck gold. I was hoping to find a shrub or two, but they only received one truck so far and it wasn't much on shrubs. The customer service was top notch and very helpful for a beginner like me. I absolutely loved their coy pond. It was therapeutic to watch and listen to. If you haven't been here before, I would advise you to check it out.

Love this place and I love to look around to see what they have available. I stopped in here Mother's Day weekend to pick up some plants for our front yard area. Found a wide selection of plants and was out the door in no time. Great place to go if you've never been here before.

They have a fantastic fall selection as well and their pumpkin patch and activities for kids are awesome

We purchased a tree in 2017 that we thought had got scorched in 2018 so we waited to to see if it would come back in 2019, but it did not. We spoke to Dills and they will not do anything about it. They say they can't do anything about it since we did not "return" the tree in 2018 even though we have documentation that it was brown in 2018. We were hoping to avoid the return if it was only leaf scorched. I guess we should have not tried to nurse it. Sad when businesses won't even make small attempt to resolve a matter and work with their customers.

Visited Dill's today, looking for a replacement for one of my herbs that has fizzled out, for whatever reason. I arrived here late July thinking maybe they were in the process of marking down plants as its end of season. Well, no on the herbs. Still full price 3.99 for a pot.
I thought I'd look at perennials. They had a lot left. They were marked down 10% and were looking neglected. Needing water, over grown (well yeah they would be as they have been growing all season in a greenhouse). Anyhow, I live near Dill's, and honestly I never go. They are just too expensive. I would rate

My little one had a field trip here at first when we pulled up we were like really this just looks like a greenhouse like this is going to be so lame but then after you walk through the greenhouse and you pay for your ticket it is amazing best place I have ever been to this was my first time going and the only reason I was going was because of the field trip but I would go here again and again I feel like this is going to be one of our families traditions to do during October every year, the only thing that I didn't like was that the pumpkins were a little small great for younger kids but if you

Every year I buy hanging Boston ferns. Typically I purchased them from a large home and garden retail chain. The ones I purchased from Dill's cost a bit more but it was so worth it; they were full and big I was very happy with the purchase I've gone back to other times and purchased perennials. The quality of the plants compared to the large retail chain was noticeably better.

This nursery has really grown and diversified. I remember when it was first built. I've been coming more, since moving to the country. This stop was again for vegetable seeds. This year, we've added a third raised bed, so we got what we could to up the giant rectangles. Dill's always have a great selection of flowers, bushes, trees, water features. They have a children's area, too. All in the name of nature - that's enough convincing for me!

LOVE Dill's Greenhouse!! My husband and I have been customers since 2001 and every experience we've had there has been wonderful. The owner, Jerry, greets us by name when we come in, and his daughters, Colleen and Kelly, have always gone above and beyond to help us make the right decisions for our yard/space. I have never had anything other than a 100% positive experience at Dill's- even in their busiest seasons, I always get the help I need. Thank you, Dill's!

I have to say that Dill's has the best customer service, hands down. Not only do they come out every spring and pick up my large pots to plant, they come back in the fall to repot them. They have great people doing their pots because they come out beautiful every time. They also supply us with our annuals every year and we are always very pleased with the quality of the plants that they deliver. I have worked with both Kelly and Coleen for the past four years and they couldn't be any nicer. Our family also always look forward to the fun haystack maze, hay rides, pumpkin sling shot

I have been shopping for my plants at Dill's for years, and I would never go anywhere else. Not only is the quality of the plants top-notch, but the staff is incredibly knowledgable and can answer all of my questions. They have helped me create the most beautiful containers of flowers over the years, and one year, because of time constraints, I had them plant my containers for me, and they were magnificent. Each year I buy fourteen flats of annuals, two hanging baskets, and enough pots of flowers to fill seven huge containers. I also buy seeds, potted herbs, tomatoes, and other vegetables

A little pricy, but great selection. Customer service was good, but I wish the seasonal youth staff were more educated on the products. The seasoned staff stands out with their experience and are very helpful.
