Jim and Donna Downey are the owners of Downey Trucking, Inc. Established in 1990, we are a family-focused trucking company. Our founder, Leland Downey, believed in hard work, dedication, and honesty. His 33 years of over-the-road experience taught us how to do the job right. We strive to be a company that provides personal service without compromising efficiency in a field that often takes the personal touch out of business.
Downey Trucking, Inc. provides transportation services with our fleet of conventional tractors and 53 ft. We screen our carriers to ensure that they can provide the services you need with confidence when we can't provide our own equipment. Our brokerage can provide transportation to cover those last-minute needs that arise when in a jam.
We are currently hiring for Class A CDL over the road drivers. Downey is dedicated to getting drivers miles while getting them home each weekend. We run Kenworths and Freightliners with truck-to-house privileges. Being a small business, our office only needs two dispatchers who will always answer the phone.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (49CFR391 Subpart E) require that all driver applicants pass certain physical tests before they are hired to drive a motor vehicle. In addition, if you have driven a commercial vehicle previously, you must provide employment history for an additional seven (7) years for a total of ten (10) years.

I have been with Downey Trucking Inc. for over 5 years. It is the best. If you are a hard working, honest and dependable person I suggest you give them a try. They have provided well for myself and my family through good and bad times. I truly respect the owners as well as my coworkers we all have a job to do. When one does their part. If you're looking for a trucking company that cares about its employees while simultaneously caring for its customers Downey Trucking is that company. They are family owned and family oriented. Equipped with a top notch fleet of trucks a great network of office staff and very knowledgeable mechanics that dont mind doing things right the first time. Also helpful drivers that show concern for their coworkers. I have nothing but praises to give when I speak about the Downey Trucking Family.
