Art & Soul Dance Company is the leading dance institution in Sarasota/ Manatee/ Bradenton. At our school, we aim to encourage a widespread love of dance, welcoming children and adults who can't help but feel the rhythm!
Art & Soul Dance Company was founded in 2017, when our Artistic Director Alana Turner MLDMA, DMA, CDTA, DEA relocated here from Toronto and recognized the area's need for a professional, unparalled Dance Education Facility with a philosophy to create a positive, welcoming environment which is encouraging for all.
Art & Soul Dance Company was founded in 2017, when our Artistic Director Alana Turner MLDMA, DMA, CDTA, DEA relocated here from Toronto and recognized the area's need for a professional, unparalled Dance Education Facility with a philosophy to create a positive, welcoming environment which is encouraging for all.
Alana Turner, CDTA, MLDMA, DMA, DEA, our company's founder and Director, has vast experience in Dance Education as well as the entrepreneurial skill set required to own and operate a dance studio. As the founder and Director of one of Canada's largest dance studios, Dancers Burlington, Ms. Turner brings a wealth of knowledge and ability to this exciting new enterprise.
Miss Danielle has 3 daughters who dance, and is therefore an amazing addition to our team! As the mother of dancers, she works with each Art & Soul Family to find the perfect fit of programming. Furthermore, her Masters in Food Sciences makes her a go- to for the nutrition and health of our dancers.
Certified with American Ballet Theater (ABT) Teacher's Training, Miss Sofia comes to us from Argentina, and is fluently bilingual. She has a Specialized Training in teaching younger dancers, and is adored for her lovely and nurturing demeanor, and gentle method of instruction. Miss Sophia will be co-teaching our fabulous pre-school Little Manatee Dance and Tumbling Program.
We are so excited to welcome Natalia Mock! Originally from Pittsburgh PA, she is very excited to join get team of Art & Soul! She is an accomplished performer, choreographer, teacher and director who has worked all over the U.S. Natalia has a BFA in Musical Theater with minors in Business Management and Dance from Point Park Conservatory in Pittsburgh.

Art and soul is absolutely amazing! They promote kindness and inclusivity and are welcoming to everyone. the quality of leadership is unsurpassed. The dance technique taught to all is the highest quality in the area. My daughter loves it here and feels like a second home. highly recommend to anyone looking for a studio for both recreational and competitive team experiences.

The studio, the instructors, and the directors of this dance company are all amazing! My daughter started with them during their summer camp and continued in their intro class and absolutely loves her instructors. They are encouraging and have extreme patience when working with a lot of kids under the age of 5. They offer a lot of great scheduled options and are always looking at ways to improve their offerings and availability to all levels of dancers.

We had my daughter's birthday party at Art & Soul Dance Company and we were more than satisfied. Alana along with her staff went above and beyond to make my daughter's birthday party a success. It was nice for my husband and I to just relax and enjoy the party. The staff handled all the setting up before, they entertained the kids the whole time and, cleaned up everything. My daughter and her friends had a great time. The girls even had a dance performance at the end of the party to show all the parents. I highly recommend the studio for your next birthday party plans. My daughter also takes classes

Alana Turner epitomizes the essence of a Dance education professional. She has been instrumental in the amazing development of our daughter and many other young dancers since relocating from Toronto to Lakewood Ranch in 2014. Alanna turns ordinary dancers into extraordinary ones. She has taught Tap, Jazz and Lyrical dance technique over the past two years to our daughter which has lead to many Regional and National Dance awards. Alanna also teaches the essentials of strength and conditioning to her competitive dancers. We are so excited to join Alana and faculty at "Art and Soul" this season.
