Stone Mountain Adventures
Stone Mountain Adventures (SMA) is a co-ed, overnight teenage summer camp located in the heart of Central Pennsylvania. Every day, we create opportunities for teenagers to challenge themselves: to ride a horse, to rock climb with good technique, to wakeboard or waterski, and most importantly of all, to develop lasting friendships.

Building confidence is our goal; freedom to explore, positive reinforcement, and a superstar staff are our tools. Here at Stone Mountain Adventures we create an atmosphere of freedom, fun, and personal challenge that is responsive to the pressures of the outside world but immersive enough to allow teens to find themselves and give them a summer to remember.
Services
Sending your child to Stone Mountain Adventures is an investment in your child's future as well as a financial investment. We are now able to offer Peace-Of-Mind Insurance to help you protect your investment. Campers are in the barn and ride every morning. Beginner riders develop skills and confidence while advanced riders are challenged on the flat, over fences on the trails, or on a lunge line.
Thanks for taking the time to learn more about Stone Mountain Adventures (SMA)! Stone Mountain Adventures (SMA) is a co-ed, overnight summer camp for teens ages 12-16 nestled in the heart of beautiful Central Pennsylvania. Every day we offer tons of awesome activities that campers pick themselves, and because we're a smaller camp, it's easy to be a first-time camper and make friends.
Each summer, thousands of children attend overnight summer camps that promise to deliver fun and important growth experiences. As your child gets older, they may outgrow their childhood camp, even if they remain eligible to return. When this happens, it might be time to consider a teen summer camp like Stone Mountain Adventures! Attending a teen-only summer camp can have profound and lasting positive effects on the young adults in our lives.
Leaving home to go to a new overnight summer camp can be an emotional experience. Some campers might feel anxious about fitting in at camp and feeling like a new camper. But don't worry, these feelings are normal! Whether it's a camper's first overnight camp experience or a veteran overnighter attending a new camp, we know that it's only natural for a teen to be apprehensive and uncertain.
Dear Jud, Anne, Wyatt, and Molly - Thank you for the note! We are all doing well here in Westmont. I meant to write to you all soon after Jonathan came home from camp. I have never seen him so deeply affected by an experience in his life. First of all he was very depressed for about a week, just missing being there, missing his new friends and all of you.

Jud and Anne are amazing!! This was our first camp experience and we are from out of state. Every aspect of the camp was very organized from the registration to the transportation to the airport. My son had an amazing time and can't wait to attend again this year. Thank you SMA for your dedication to teens!

My daughter had an amazing camp experience at Stone Mountain Adventures. She did the wake masters session and had an excellent time. The camp staff was very organized, friendly and caring. The activities were very fun! The food was good and plenty. She said the best part were the counselors who were all very energetic and cheerful. She had a great time and would love to go again next summer!

As an Occupational Therapist who considered social, physical and imaginative development of my teenager, this camp was fantastic! My son went 3 yrs in a row and my dtr became a counselor one yr for the art program. Activities ranged from music, sports, rock climbing, white water rafting…plus the counselors are so fun. I like the narrowed age focus 12-16 yrs and the professional recreational background of the family owners. It was a total fit for my kids! My son still keeps in touch with some fellow campers.

Choosing to go to SMA when I was 15 years old easily was one of the best decisions of my life. Having grown up in France, I originally wanted to go there to improve my English and make friends in the US. I found exactly that, and much more. SMA is a place that allows teenagers to grow into young adults, gain self confidence, improve both their social and outdoors skills.
I remember feeling nervous when I first went there, as I had never been separated from my parents for so long, let alone by an entire ocean. SMA nevertheless has the magical ability to quickly feel like home. Thanks to its small

This camp is amazing, seriously can't stress it enough. The activities are super fun, and everyone there somehow becomes your family. You can't even compare it to other camps. SMA is such a special place, where you forget about everything, and just live. Going there in 2019 and 2020 was the best decision I ever made. I can't wait for next year!

My daughter was new to Stone Mountain this summer and with all the uncertainty of covid, had the best experience in the middle of a summer full of other cancellations! The counselors and campers were friendly and down-to-earth, and the outdoor activities were amazing! She loved the canoe overnight and white water adventure especially, as well as just playing frisbee and hanging out. It's a special place.

Stone Mountain Adventures was the first sleep away camp experience for my two teenage sons. They both loved it. They made new friends, looked up to their counselors, tried new activities, and came home with lots of fun stories to share. They especially loved mountain biking on the trails in the area. It was an extremely positive experience and I would highly recommend this camp!

If i could give SMA more then a 5 star rating I wouldn't hesitate for a second. Stone Mountain Adventures has been my home away from home for the last 5 years and it is my favorite place on Earth. The warm, welcoming environment makes every camper, new or old, fell right at home and the awesome activities make every day new and exciting. It's is a great place for children to go to summer camp and if I could go for another 5 years I'd be there in a heartbeat!

Our 16 year old daughter is returning for her second year this summer, not for one session like last year, but for two. She absolutely cannot wait to go back. After having attended several local camps, our daughter wanted something more in a summer camp experience, and found this camp entirely on her own. She convinced us to sign her up as she was certain that this was going to be a great experience. And sure enough, it was so much more than even she expected. This camp is special for so many reasons but most of all because of Judd and Anne Millar, who own and run the camp. They have created an
