Somerset Stone and Stove opened its doors to business in 1986 as a simple reclaim stone business. It developed in an industry leading supplier of natural and concrete stone products. Installation soon became part of the business and quickly gained a reputation for quality and artistic stonework. In 2007 Wayne and Becky Tibbetts purchased Somerset Stone Center and changed the name to Somerset Stone Center & Excavation.
We realized how important it was to have a stone yard full of selections for our customers to choose from. Inventory was brought in and then the hardscape displays began. We filled our stone yard up with patios, walkways, steps, retaining walls, fire pits, benches, and bird baths to name a few. In 2011 we decided to focus on our stone services and eliminated the excavation services to our business model.

At Somerset Stone & Stove we go above and beyond the sale of your new heating stove or hardscape products. Our team of technicians is ready to install and offer maintenance services for your new stove or install your veneer. From the initial sale, to service after the sale, we strive to exceed our customers' expectations.
We invite you to our stone yard to walk through our large selection of hardscape products in a variety of styles and colors. You'll find natural stones, granite, concrete and precast products including steps, benches, posts and more. We also have a selection of bulk aggregates including compost, erosion control, stone dust, brown or black mulch, loam, shim gravel, crushed rock and sand.
They do not require top seal coats and last well in colder and humid climates. If repair is necessary it is much easier to replace damaged pavers versus large selections of paved concrete or asphalt. The also provide high surface infiltration rates making their hydrological performance, equal to or better than, alternative permeable surfaces.

Although natural stone veneer comes in thin or thick, also refered to as building veneer, we typically use the thin veneer. By using a built in fireplace and thin veneer, you can achieve the look of a full stone fireplace - at a reduced cost and weight and be more efficient than a traditional fireplace.

No, not at all. The salesman Paul lied to us. We paid top dollar for a fireplace insert. We ask to have to chimney cap and he orders the wrong piece and told us it was a special order costing us $350. When calling about this we are told he is out of town and will call when he gets back. NEVER DID. And the ones running the place NO HELP AT ALL. They stuck it to my 80-year-old Mother and find it funny. Saying we can not take it back, So overcharging her $350. Stay away from this place. No Good At All. it is called elder abuse. This place should take the wrong cap back and refund her the $350. They

I highly recommend Somerset Stone and Stove for their prompt, very professional and extremely friendly service. We needed to replace a wood stove in our lakefront sauna. Wayne came immediately to assess the situation, made recommendations and despite the difficulty of access, worked out the practical details to do the job. Once our Regent F1150 stove arrived, he and his team executed the incredibly challenging task of installing the stove and removing our old one. We could not be happier and look forwards to many enjoyable saunas. Thank you Wayne and Becky .

Skeptical at first where I want to place my first pellet stove. Went into the shop being a tough cookie that I am told him exactly what I wanted and no more and no less. Paul behind the counter showed me exactly what I wanted no sugarcoating. Wayne the owner came to measure at my home reassured me. Again I was a little skeptical he came back again and measured reassured me. I have to tell you I had the pellet stove placed in my kitchen I was absolutely blown away. Awesome I could not of asked for a better job that was done beautifully professionally did not even know they were here with the cleanup
