When you engage folks to sort issues with the IRS, you are in an inherently vulnerable situation. Stuart B, Jay F. and Amber H. calmly and expertly charted and navigated my course. They were "blunt, upfront and polite" about the realities of the situation while driving to the most favorable resolution possible. I first contacted them based on what they portrayed online. They described my situation perfectly, which was pretty personal because we've dealt with so many health related issues and death that I fell behind and it got so bad that I did in fact feel paralyzed from the fear of what COULD happen. So I reached out and thought things were going well until I asked if we could do something that's common practice: a virtual meeting.
The response I received was simply unprofessional. He was clearly not interested in my business. That's fine but there is a wrong way and a right way of conducting yourself

Called this morning. Person who answered did not identify himself. Apparently there were difficulties with connection on his end but when we were able to communicate he proceeded to mansplain their location is in Seattle, it would cost $2500 to file two years of personal and business taxes, and suggested to find a local area CPA. Will follow this advice and seek a professional tax advisor.

I was extremely anxious regarding my unfiled taxes. They had not been filed for ten years. Ten. I researched a variety of firms that were widely reviewed by advertising to help me resolve this issue, going so far as to get a quote from one. It took days even to get a quote, which was so high that I continued to take my chances with the IRS.
Further research brought me to Washington Tax Services. I found few negative reviews, and those were posted by people who clearly did not have any knowledge either about the IRS or professional tax services. Even those showed a history of positive follow-up

I tried for months to call the IRS, but could not get thru....for months I was not sleeping thru the nite. I truly believe that I was supposed to find Washington Tax on my computer 1 of those sleepless nites. I called Jay the next day and asked how he could help me with my back taxes. He was very informative as to what Watax could do for me and what my options were. He listened

Don't hesitate to use Jay and his team for any tax issues! After investing the necessary time to investigate companies who could assist with an IRS issue spanning several years, I made the decision to hire Washington Tax Services. I had an excellent experience with WTS. This is saying something because my tax problem hit many road bumps and was not ultimately resolved, but only temporarily put into numerous holding patterns. However, this was the best outcome given my situation, certainly better than if I dealt with the IRS alone. WTS was patient, kind, and forgiving even as we hit setbacks through no fault of their own. Currently my situation is on hold, and plan to certainly use them again if and when my case is reopened. It's never fun to get that email from HR saying your wages are being garnished. I called Marty at WaTax who walked me through the situation very quickly on how to get the levy released. I'm happy to say I did exactly what Marty requested and the levy was released and we now have an affordable payment plan setup with the IRS. The guys at Washington Tax know their stuff and I'd recommend them to family and friends anytime.
