DMG Hardwoods is a primary importer of sustainably harvested timber. We at DMG personally vet all our suppliers for compliance with environmental regulations. DMG is an accredited importer with the U.S Department of Agriculture. DMG is a trade participant in CTPAT, (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism).
Rest assured DMG has taken every step to ensure sustainability, environmental protection and high quality standards. DMG Hardwoods grew its first roots in the jungles of the Guyana's. While surveying timber for a hydroelectric dam Mr. Feuer came across a unique species called Dicorynia Guianensis. Used extensively in the Netherlands for water works, Angelique as it is commonly called, seemed a good candidate for lobster trap runners.

We offer a wide variety of exotic and unique decking from South America to Western Africa. All of the decking is durability Class 1 and well known for its strength and durbility. A Large collection of the slabs that we sell are taken from the large man made lake in Suriname called Brokopondo.
The lake was made in the mid 1960s when Suralco, the Suriname Aluminum Company, flooded the area to create a hydroelectric dam to generate power for the Aluminum refinery. As a cost saving measure the area that would become the lake bed was not cleared of trees, and thus many acres of timber was flooded.

I have been buying lumber from Marty and DMG for a couple of years now. Their decking is the best quality, and the price is always fair. I don't even consider looking for tropical decking from any other source. My only complaint is the burgers they serve for free at lunchtime--they could really use some chopped onions!
