Owner and Son Kyle Lancon has been around boats and mechanics since a very young age. In his early years he would spend his summers off at his grandparents automotive repair shop in Torrance, CA. There he learned valuable skills from sweeping the floors to rebuilding his first engine. From there he found himself working in Mission Bay at the boat rental docks.
From annual service to full-fledged boat restorations Wide Open Throttle Marine is here to fulfill your boating needs. Although we specialize in service, repair, and rigging, we also offer fiberglass, light fabrication, welding, and trailer services. Our shop boasts an array of tooling that help us live up to our promise to provide you with a quality experience.
Excellent quality boat service done right and on time. I've used Kyle and team on several projects over the years and it's been a great experience everytime. They always take the time to answer my technical questions and give me several options for things that need to be done. There's never any surprises since they explain costs before the work is done.

Kyle at WOT was fantastic throughout the entire process. He kept me well informed about all of the issues and help prioritize the order of the repairs & the worst case cost. In short, the boat is back in the water earlier then expected, running better then it was before it had issues (I thought it was running good until I got it back from WOT....it’s like a new boat!) & best of all the repairs were UNDER BUDGET by 35%. Which saved thousands of dollars- obviously it’s a boat (bust out another thousand). I’ll never consider another boat mechanic in San Diego.

Cole and the whole team at WOT are awesome! Super professional and very friendly, they made time to explain the system for me and options available. They replaced my gimble bearing and did an outdrive service on my B2, checked compression on my engine and fixed a whole mess of odds an ends that helped get me back on water. Anyone in North County should go there, Support Local companies!!!

I took my boat in expecting them to have it a month due to all of the repairs that needed to be done. Within 2 weeks I had my boat back and it's better than it ever was. WOT went above and beyond my expectations. I cannot say enough about the quality of work and professionalism, also the fact that they had my boat in and out in a very timely matter. I would highly recommend this business to anyone.

I would highly recommend WOT Marine! 3 days before a trip to Havasu my boat would not turn over. Panic set in that I would have to cancel. I scrambled and found WOT. I called and was able to drop my boat off that day. Kyle and his crew saved my trip by fixing the problem and were even able to squeeze in a scheduled service on the motor. I will 100% be back for any other needed boat service and maintenance.

I have been taking my boat to WOT Marine since they opened. I live in Carlsbad and have known the owners for several years as they were neighbors. They do excellent work at a fair price and have always had my boat done on time. I would never use another mechanic on my boat and I highly recommend them.
