Services
Dr. Laura was born with unilateral hearing loss which was diagnosed in elementary school but was not fit with a hearing aid until graduate school. As a patient herself, she knows the burden of growing up with hearing loss and the value of good hearing. Dr. Laura founded Citrus Hearing Clinic in 2018 in order to better serve her home community with best-practice audiology services for all ages.
Doctors of Audiology have tools and clinical protocols to help evaluate and diagnose hearing loss. A comprehensive audiological evaluation measures the patient's overall hearing health. Speech recognition test: A subjective measure of how well the patient hears and can repeat certain words. Sometimes called speech audiometry.
We take pride in following best practice guidelines and providing an exceptional level of care for our patients. We focus on listening to each patient's unique hearing and balance needs. Our main goal is patient education; helping you to understand your diagnosis and the treatment options available.
Dr. Laura Pratesi is proud to be a part of the Dr. Cliff AuD Approved Provider Network. This network is comprised of hearing healthcare professionals who have committed to following audiological best practices and have gone through the training and certification to verify they can - and do - follow those best practices.

Honest, straight forward, friendly, professional, personable and didn't keep us waiting for more than about 1 minute at the most. Excellent service. Great at listening to the situation and presenting solutions that are affordable. After spending thousands of $ with another local hearing aid center, where the product never worked to begin with, it was refreshing to have the problems resolved quickly and professionally at a minimal cost. Integrity goes a long way and Citrus Hearing Clinic has integrity, responsiveness and true customer service, personified!

Dr. Laura spent 2 hours with me despite my 1 hour appointment since the lapse between my last audiology and cochlear implant appointments where I used to live and now caused some unforeseen problems. She cares. The front desk is knowledgeable and very helpful. I’m thankful to have found the expertise but especially the care.

Dr. Laura was recommended to me by a trusted cochlear implant rep. Although there are a number of audiologists near where I live, and I have to drive nearly an hour to reach Clermont, I never regretted going to her. She keeps up on the latest technologies, trains upcoming audiology students, and most of all, devotes time listening and responding to ensure the best hearing experience. She has guided me through both my cochlear implants, which have changed my life.

COVID UPDATE! SUPER SAFE TO VISIT
I've already sung this doctor's praises in my earlier review, but I just want to applaud them on all the measures they are taking to prevent the spread of COVID.
Note: This is the safest I have felt going to any doctor's office during this time.
Dr. Laura and her amazing team all take great care. They do the following:
- keep door locked and let you in when it is your appt time
- require you to wash hands right as you enter and before you touch any forms / documents
- take temperature
- wear masks (and the doctor was wearing a face shield

My first visit with Dr.Laura was probably the best audiology appointment I've had so far and I've had many.
I was having trouble with my cochlear implants and she was able to quickly identify and remedy the problem.
She did a very thorough exam, formulated a solution to the problems I was experiencing and implement a solution. My hearing is as good as it's ever been. Her staff was very knowledgeable and professional.
She took as much time as needed to speak with me on any aspect of my hearing and how to maintain my equipment etc.
