The R A C O R S E Networks Home Cares Programs
Every week in Oakland, San Francisco, and Marin volunteers gather at our sites to accept donations of durable medical equipment and supplies. We provide the items we collect to people who need them. Some items are always available such as gait belts, pill boxes, commodes and standard front wheel walkers. We receive daily requests for wheelchairs, walkers with seats, canes and liquid nutritional supplements. We do our best to provide for those with the greatest needs.
Services
Contributing columnist: Oakland TribuneYears ago, a patient was slowly wheeled into my examination room by her two laboring adult daughters. The patient's wheelchair creaked and thumped as it rolled through the doorway - clearly an antique, and clearly an aerobic workout for her panting daughters.

Great group that helps the community immensely by sanitizing used medical equipment and redistributing to people in need. Keeps it out of the landfill and supports the community’s needs.

The main guy told me that he has been doing this for 21 years. I drove from San Mateo to donate unused liquid thickeners and miralax. I wish such drive exist in San Mateo. They did give me a nice itemized receipt as well.

These guys do a great job. Only take donations on Thursday but they turn those medical equipment donations around in a really nice way.
