Board-certified and fellowship-trained, orthopedic back and spine surgeon Dr. Joe Caldwell joined OSMC in 2012. Dr. Caldwell attended Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, where he obtained his bachelor of science in biomedical sciences in 2002. Dr. Caldwell received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, in 2006.
Orthopedic surgeon David Cutcliffe, MD, launched his career at New Hampshire's Dartmouth College. There, he earned a BA in chemistry before moving into the world of medical research as a research chemist with the Sterling-Winthrop Research Institute in Rensselaer, New York. He studied organic and medicinal chemistry at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and earned his medical degree in 1991 at Albany Medical College.
Orthopedic surgeon Craig Erekson, MD, joined the OSMC medical team in 1997. He obtained his BA in biology with high academic honors from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and he earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. His postgraduate orthopedic residencies were served at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and The Orthopedic Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Couldn't be happier! This was my third, and final trip with my current injury. From the first visit to this visit, I knew I was in capable, professional. knowledgeable hands. The staff is super friendly. Which is very important to me. There is little to no waiting...again an important item. Bottom line...should you sustain an injury that requires professional care, look no further than OSMC.

My experience with Dr. Cadwell and Nurse Practitioner Eric Brown was nothing short of amazing and the utmost professional yet kind, caring, and great. From start to finish they were clear, concise, and made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood the process and afterwords the pain I had was gone , legit none . No pain pills no nothing but healing and smiles. I hands down recommend them and wouldn't hesitate ever to have them as my Dr's again. Osmc is an amazing place and I'm greatful to each and everyone of them there and Elkhart general nurses and staff for my surgery there. Definitely

Very pleased with Dr Schram & Dr Sonntag. Both physicians were thorough,caring,knowledgeable.
Both physicians are true professionals.
Dr. Sonntag performed shoulder surgery on my son. My son has had two other shoulder surgeries by another orthopedic clinic. This time his shoulder surgery had to be more extensive. Our entire family was so impressed with our sons recovery it was amazing.

Dr Grove has been the best. He has helped me with my pain issues. He understands my needs when I'm in pain. Pain can destroy your days & nights. Lack of sleep makes your life Miserable, then trying to get through the days becomes even harder. Dr Grove really understands how that is. He has kept me off the operating table for the past 6 years. Now maybe a pain stimulator, and I trust Dr Grove to do what he feels what's best for me, and ill put my trust in him. His nurses are fantastic. You want help with pain issues. See Doctor GROVE! Check in was quick and efficient. My wait was minimal. The nurse placed and order for X-rays that were done immediately. Dr Hix was waiting to see me when I returned from X-ray. He was thorough in his exam and explanation of my issue and options for treatment. Two appts were set up at check out which was also quick and efficient. OSMC is top notch and I would highly recommend them.

First was Dr Cullen she was great then MRI and off to Dr Smucker had double rotator cuff tear . Then went to Elkhart central had never been informed so much ever they very professional and bend over backwards to make sure I was good with everything!
Dr Smucker Absolutely awesome I had the same surgery 25 years ago and this one was better and easier than the one when I was young he did a great job Emily physical therapy got me whipped into shape was ahead of steps on all the Dr testing!!!!! I will never go anywhere else !!!!!
