I have had hearing aids for nine years. My first set was from an audiologist in a different city, the second set from Costco and my current set from Ascent Audiology and Hearing in Fredericksburg. I can honestly say that Ascent Audiology and Hearing, Dr. Kuster, and his Admin Assistant, Melissa has changed my life for the better. My second set of hearing aids from Costco were fraught with problems, mostly with the "techs" that try to adjust them. The hearing aids only lasted a little over two years. I can't even begin to offer the proper thanks to Dr. Kuster for his help with my mother-in-law and her hearing loss. His gentle, quiet demeanor was amazing since my mother-in-law was very apprehensive about the whole examination experience. Ascent Audiology in Fredericksburg is the only place I will take my elderly mom for hearing aids. Dr. Paul Kuster is very skilled and personable. My wife and I paid a visit to Ascent Audiology & Hearing and we had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Paul Kuster and his staff of competent personnel. I came armed with lots of questions and he answered them all. I decided to purchase new set of Starkey hearing aids. I was totally impressed when he utilized “real ear measurements” a system that actually listens to what I was actually hearing. He then used that information to skillfully adjust the frequency bands to actually fit the waveform relative to my specific hearing loss. Dr. Kuster can improve your hearing and you will be satisfied.

I have been thoroughly pleased with the care and attention I have received at Dr Kuster's office. Everything was explained as to the extent of my hearing loss and the best way to correct it. I was truly impressed with the kindness of Dr Kuster and his staff. I got the best hearing test I'd ever had, and when done- Dr. Kuster was able to identify exactly how bad my hearing was and what sounds were my biggest trouble. It's rare to find a doctor who truly enjoys people and finds fulfillment in helping them. When I'm ready for my hearing aid, I know I will be going back to Dr. Kuster, he's one in a million.

Although I had had my hearing tested for over 40 years as part of military, or retired military, physicals, all those tests were done by Navy corpsmen or technicians. So, now deep in the second half of my 60's, my recent visit to Ascent Audiology and exam by Dr. Paul Kuster was my first experience with a professional audiologist. And it was a truly great experience! Dr. Kuster was very thorough, doing a comprehensive ear exam and testing for hearing loss in a well-equipped sound booth. A very friendly and outgoing individual, the doctor made me feel completely at ease as he examined me and explained
