Interfaith is a nonprofit organization that provides voluntary support services to seniors, including those with limited mobility throughout Ozaukee County. This is the simple, yet very important mission of Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County. Interfaith Ozaukee would not be able to accomplish this mission if it were not for our many generous community volunteers who give freely of their time to assist our seniors in need. At first glance, the free services Interfaith Ozaukee volunteers provide to our seniors in many respects seem rather modest.
Potential volunteers are asked to fill-out a Volunteer Application and return it to Interfaith, before meeting with a Program Coordinator. Then volunteers are screened and trained before being matched with a client. Volunteering with Interfaith is very flexible-volunteers help as little or as often as fits into their schedule.
Interfaith Ozaukee is a non-profit organization providing assistance to seniors (60 and older), with limited mobility who live in Ozaukee County. Through the assistance of compassionate volunteers, our clients can maintain their independence and age in place with dignity.
Volunteers act as extended family members by providing transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores and other essential errands, by doing friendly visits or phone calls.We also provide non-medical respite care to caregivers of loved ones with dementia, who are frail, or chronically ill. All services are provided free-of-charge.
