9 tooth: IH 460, 560 Gas, 660 Gas. Tractors with the original steering shaft AND fuel tank will require this smaller starter to fit in that area. 13 tooth: The same as the 9 tooth, but with a more powerful motor. With the larger motor, the starter had to be moved away from the ring gear slightly using an offset mounting plate, but a larger gear makes up for that offset.
