Services
Thank you for visiting the online home of Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club. Since 1953, MPYC has been deeply committed to promoting and conserving our rich maritime heritage. The Monterey Peninsula has often been called "the greatest meeting of land and sea." At MPYC, we are truly blessed to call this our home.
During the year, we host a variety of social events to include wine maker dinners and various celebrations. We also sponsor a wide variety of boating activities. If you are interested in sailboat racing, we have active racung fleets for one-design, PHRF (Performance Handicap Racing Fleet), junior sailing and remote control boats.
If it floats, chances are we race it at MPYC. From remote-controlled fleets to Laser, FJ, Mercury, U-20, Santana, Shields and PHRF, you'll find someone at race at the club. MPYC is a frequent host of One Design regattas including multiple national championships. Our annual series races feature PHRF (Performance Handicap Racing Fleet) boats along with Shields and Santana 22 One Designs.
MPYC provides a variety of social events throughout the year, ranging from wine tastings where specific vintners are invited to display their wines, to talent nights where anyone can play their instrument of choice, to theme parties based on the holiday - often with music. The club has a special program just new new adult sailors!
Monterey Peninsula Yacht club has a deep commitment in promoting junior sailing. It is the home club of the Monterey Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation and the highly popular Summer Sailing Camp for juniors. MPYC youth sailing teams compete throughout California and the club is the frequent host of high school and junior sailing regattas.

I've been a sailor for many years but this is such a cool little first city spot and the sailing instruction lesson and club is really a fantastic feature, kudos to the whole crew.

Private club. I have an alumni group that meets here once a month. Food is always on point, and you can't beat the harbor view. Plus a recent remodel has the place looking really sharp!
