Dr. Faler was born and raised in Hattiesburg, MS and grew up working summers in his father's periodontal practice where he gained an early interest in dentistry.
After graduating from Mississippi State University in 1993 with a B.S. in Biology, he went to dental school at UAB School of Dentistry in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Mindy Gil grew up in sunny southern California. After completing her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, she continued her studies at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) for her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
Following her passion for oral-systemic link of our health, she pursued her studies and earned specialty certificate in periodontology and Doctor of Medical Science in Oral Biology (DMSc) from HSDM.She is a board certified diplomate of American Academy of periodontology.

If you have dental insurance, please bring any forms or insurance cards with you to the appointment. Please Note: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation appointment. Also, please inform us if you have EVER taken bisphosphonates (ie Fosamax, Didrocal, or Actonel).
Dr. Faler has completed intensive training in Laser Periodontal Therapy and offers this treatment using the World's first digital dental laser-the Periolase MVP-7. This laser was specifically designed for treating gum (periodontal) disease. This addition makes it possible for us to effectively treat gum disease problems and establish ideal conditions for healing the gums around teeth that have periodontal pockets, right in our office.
When you have an infection of any kind it is standard practice to take antibiotics to kill the problem bacteria. However, without knowing the exact strain of bacteria that is causing your infection, there is only a one in ten chance of choosing the best antibiotic to cure the infection.

Our experience with Dr. Gil and her office has been wonderful. The office staff is courteous and efficient which helped when scheduling appointments and communicating about follow-ups. Dr. Gil went above and beyond explaining procedures and answering our questions. She communicated with our other providers to ensure continuity of care.

Wonderful business and I will continue to go there. They were originally recommended by my dentist. The staff is so welcoming and nice and made scheduling and all appointments easy and a great experience. They respond quickly to calls and emails and answer all questions and/or concerns quickly. My procedure went as well as it could have gone, and I felt confident in the doctor and staff/nurses. I will have future procedures done with them. I highly recommend!

My husband, suffering from an abscess and needing an extraction, was worked in and had an emergency spot less than twelve hours later.
He is very sensitive to any dental work and has dental anxiety. He was able to be taken care of without sedation and the staff were gentle and professional. They even talked with him about a plan for dealing with other problems arising and how to manage his teeth within financial reason (a blessing for sure!!). Highly recommend!
