Footings are an important part of foundation construction. They are typically made of concrete with rebar reinforcement that has been poured into an excavated trench. The purpose of footings is to support the foundation and prevent settling. Footings are especially important in areas with troublesome soils.
A concrete slab is a common structural element of modern buildings, consisting of a flat, horizontal surface made of cast concrete. Steel-reinforced slabs, typically between 4 and 12 in thick, are most often used to construct floors. In many domestic and industrial buildings, a thick concrete slab supported on foundations or directly on the subsoil, is used to construct the ground floor.

First, I only left one star, because I had too. I would have left none had I been able too. We have used Wheeler Services for many years until the service started lacking care, customer service and correcting issues when they occur. Recently, they left grass and scratches on my vehicle and many others in the parking lot. The grass is uneven and turning brown in spots. When I called to inform the owner I no longer wanted his services due to poor workmanship, the owner simply said "Ok" and hung up the phone. Do your research before choosing a landscape company. Do not choose this one.
