Services
Did you know that one in every four adults and one in five children has a mental illness? In fact, mental illnesses are more common than cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Problems such as depression, PTSD and addiction are very common in Clay County. That is why Clay County Behavioral Health Center offers a wide range of behavioral health services for adults and children in Clay County - Because YOU Matter.
National Recovery Month (Recovery Month) increases awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders and encourages individuals in need of treatment and recovery services to seek help. Recovery Month celebrates individuals living lives in recovery and recognizes the dedicated workers who provide the prevention, treatment, and recovery support services that help make recovery possible.
Kids First of Florida and Clay Behavioral would like to thank the sponsors of our annual fundraiser, the "Reverse Raffle." This year's event will be held virtually with an online Silent Auction that is open to everyone. Bid now on items like gift certificates, sports and music memorabilia, hand-crafted items, trips & more.
Mental illness does not only affect adults. Many children, teens and young adults are in need of help, too. In the United States, more than four million children are living with serious mental illness, and half of all lifetime cases of mental disorders begin by age 14. But effective treatments exist, allowing children to live a productive life and be successful in school, family life and daily living.
Clay Behavioral Health Center provides behavior management services through contractual arrangements with Clay County Schools aimed at helping behaviorally disturbed children and teens function better. The students participating in this program are enrolled in Clay County elementary and secondary schools.

I had a alcohol assignment done several months ago. It took the assessor a month and a half to finish the report and now 3 months in and still have not had any luck with them faxng the assignment to where it needs to go. I've called 6 times minimum to even get the assessment completed and have went there and called at least 6 more times to have it faxed. Everytime I speak to someone they have the same answer, that it will be handled and completed amd yet it still isn't. I've never had such awful service from a place. I would consider paying the extra money for a assessment and going somewhere people

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. The people that work here are tired and unmotivated. My appointment was canceled BEFORE THE DAY OF due to Latoya Davis. As she initially reached out as a reschedule, the day prior marked to my app. As I was at work, I didn’t respond. Figuring I’d still have my appointment considering she didn’t say she would cancel it. The day of my appointment she claims that I was a no call no show. Miscommunication is disreputable. Hope you guys figure it out.

My 3 children have been going to Clay Behavioral for over a year now and see Kimberly Norwicz. I cannot say enough about Kim. She is great with my children. They LOVE her. She is one of the best counselors my children have ever had! She really cares about them and stays in close communication. She is very professional and also gives me tools and suggestions to help with at home. Kim also takes into into consideration and handles each one of my children's needs proficiently.
In addition to Kim the front staff at Clay Behavioral has been awesome as well. I have never had ANY issues with them. The

This is extremely unprofessional. My son was scheduled to be seen a week ago and the clinic reached out to me the morning of to inform me that the provider literally called off within minutes of them calling me. I was taken back because I never had such a short notice of an appointment cancellation and I felt there was a disregard for the fact of the planning it took for me to get to this appointment. The caller told me that the provider would reach out the next day to reschedule and that never happened. I finally give them a call a week later to see what’s going on and they have my son down

Brought my daughter for an intake assessment. This appointment was made after they canceled my 1st appointment the day before. I moved stuff around schedule wise to make the appointment work that they had available, I even let them know I had a 1 year old who would have to accompany me.The woman started asking my daughter questions about what brought her in and why she was seeking mental health help. The woman taking the assessment was cold and emotionless. She eventually told me she couldn't do the assessment with my son there and I would have to find a sitter. This is after they canceled my first

They are slow in response to clients, and for prescritptions. Waiting two weeks for meds my son needs to function properly. They do not return phone calls. It is terribly managed and needs a make over. It just seems the poor and the sick continue to get the bottom of the barrel care. I guess something is better than nothing.
