Our priority is not only to train our students to become technically proficient dancers, but more importantly to teach the lifelong lessons of commitment, the value of hard work and discipline, and to inspire a passion for the arts.

Services
The Mount Dora School of Ballet was established in 2002 by Kathryn Wheeler and Nan Keating, and has continued under the artistic leadership of Mrs. Wheeler since 2011. Both recognized the need for a strong classical ballet school in Lake County providing enrichment in the ballet arts to children in Mount Dora, Eustis, Tavares, Umatilla, Leesburg, Fruitland Park and surrounding areas.
Ballet technique is the foundation of our curriculum. Our faculty follows a syllabus steeped in the Russian tradition. The school has three distinct divisions. Our Children's Division is for girls and boys ages 3 to 7 and our Classical Ballet Division is for girls and boys 8 to 19. We also have an Open Division for students 8 and up with classes in Character Dance, and Contemporary.

The Mount Dora School of Ballet is a wonderful school of dance.. My daughter has danced here since age 4 and learned so much. Not just ballet but also poise, grace, the importance of physical activity, confidence, discipline, teamwork. I could go on and on.
Mrs Wheeler, Tina and the teachers are so kind and really care about their dancers. Their performances always amaze me! Highly recommend the Mount Dora School of Ballet.

This is such a great ballet school! My daughter has been attending for several years since she was 4. Each year they lay the foundation for the next year. If you wish to send your child to a ballet school that can give them the tools and techniques to proceed to the next level each year, this is the school for you! The teachers are very professional and kind! They hold parents and kids to a high standard which honors the art of ballet! I highly recommend!!! A+++

This is an amazing school where children are taught the art of dance by professional teachers and staff. It has become my daughters second home, and is filled with thriving children who are happily learning valuable life lessons, along with their dance education. I really appreciate the inclusive nature of the school and the balance of kids who want to become professionals and other kids who simply love to dance. The artist director is a class act. Two thumbs way up!
