I wanted to say how pleased I was with the Dewitt family law firm. When I 1st called in I spoke with Iris who was more than cordial with me. She asked a lot of question so she would understand my needs. I was not rushed and she set up an appointment for me.

My experience with the Dewitt Family Law practice was Excellent. I needed help stopping spousal support when my ex got remarried and refused to stop payments. From my first meeting to the final decision, the communication was great. They use the My Case web site that make communication even easier. You can leave messages, view and print any documents relating to your case. Everyone I had contact with had great attitude and always positive. I would highly recommend the Dewitt Family Law practice.

Customer service is non existent. You call and call and call and when they finally get back to you the lady who you speak with is very rude and unprofessional. Dewitt doesn't seem to know law that well. I would double check his credentials. On more than one occasion during court he had to redact and apologize to the judge for messing up on paperwork and wrongfully filing orders. Save your money. There are plenty of other law firms with better reviews!

I didn't hire this firm but after spending a whole day calling around different family law offices this was the only one who didn't attempt to milk me for consultation fees or put me on an ridiculous retainer. The Attorney spent about 20 minute of his time for FREE and walked me through everything I needed to know for my case. I probably would have hired this firm 3 years ago if I knew about it.

Dewitt Family Law gets an F. I had a lawyer before hiring Mr. Dewitt. Dewitt came as a recommendation from my mother and sister as he represented my sister in her child support case. He sounded good over the phone and during the initial visit. Since that time I honestly believe that he represented the interests of my ex more than mine. I was in a huge battle for more time with my children yet my ex saw dollar signs by cutting my time with them by 75%. Never argued for me. Then came community property. Again the wife seeing dollar signs wanted half of my car, she had a car that was in her dads name

Do not hire this law office and be WARNED if they are being used by someone else. They are crooked, corrupt and perform unethical and unlawful actions to favor their client. They blatantly lie and purposefully change judge's written orders in favor of their client and have total disregard for the law.

I hired Steven in September 2012 to represent me in a divorce. I retained Steven as my attorney, as he appeared to be a man of values and integrity. I informed Steven, at time of retaining him, that my goal was to quitclaim title of community property home to my spouse and, in return, the expectation was to have me removed from existing loan, in addition to title. My first piece of advice is if you can avoid hiring attorney, please do it. Do your best to not be controlled by your emotions and to settle your case without the need of an attorney. The court system is inefficient & unjust. That being said, if you find yourself in the unfortunate circumstance of needing to hire an attorney the absolute best you can find is Steve DeWitt.
DeWitt is a Christian and a straight shooter who is able to quickly sift through information to hone in on what each particular judge will focus.

Like most divorces, mine was messy. Through the whole process Mr. Dewitt was compassionate, kind, and always listened. He is the most humble man I have ever met, and that is a quality that is hard to find especially in the business he is in. Day after day he hears story's of life's, marriages, and families falling apart however you would never see that weight on his face. He smiles, comes up with a plan and then executes it. Absolutely the worst!
He and his partner (his son) were the most unprofessional business experience I've ever experienced!
Their staff (receptionist) is different every time I call. They rarely return calls and missed one of my trials completely!
As a Christian I was told they were different . . they were! I am angry even with "winning" in my divorce!
