For over 25 years Litigation Economics has provided economic, accounting, and financial consulting in tort and commercial litigation, including numerous jury trial testimonies in complex commercial cases. Litigation Economics experts assess economic damages in a variety of complex litigation, including personal and commercial losses, antitrust, and valuation of household production and life care plan costs.
Litigation Economics develops and presents economic damages reports for plaintiff attorneys or critiques such reports for defense counsel, providing a range of services in several litigation phases. During discovery-support requests for documents, evaluation opposition theories and damages claims, prepare written reports, and provide deposition testimony and questions for opposing expert.
Empire Ethanol and Energy, LLC vs. BBI International, Inc. et al. Damages in this case consisted mainly of the business value of a dry-mill ethanol production plant which would have been built in Albany, New York but-for the actions of the defendants who allegedly breached a contract to provide services that arguably would have resulted in an operational and successful ethanol plant.
Claudine Woolf vs. Mary Kay, Inc., et al. Case involved economic damages that arose from constructive discharge of a salesperson for defendant based on her medical condition. Ms. Woolf was a successful saleswoman for Mary Kay when she learned she was pregnant and had breast cancer. After her sales fell due to time off for surgery and cancer treatments, she lost her position with defendant, but delivered her child.
Brian Bishop vs. Lipman and Lipman, et al. Case involved alleged wrongful termination connected to defendant's violation of Florida Whistleblower Statute. Plaintiff had been employed 15 years at the firm, the largest tomato grower in North America, and was Chief Information Officer from 2004 to early 2012 when fired.
