Dr Joiner has been wonderful helping me deal with my lower back injury. Today, I was very unhappy with staff. My appointment today had been rescheduled earlier in the month. I received phone call telling me about appointment today. I told them I had received my second nerve burn earlier this month. Staff on phone insisted that I still needed a 3rd shot. Stopped work early today to attend appointment. Once I arrived, nurse informed me that I didn't need a third nerve burn and I could leave. She giggled and said at least I didn't drive all the way from West Virginia. I told her that if I had driven

I received 3 facets in my neck . Dr joiner and Dr Howell assured me after 4 injections they would deaden the nerves in my neck after a spinal neck fusion in April 2020. The nurse came in to prepare me for the last facet. She asked why I was there. I told her the doctors had told me after 4 injections I would receive my nerve block. She said impossible because of the metal in my neck. I refused the last treatment. Only a money racket. Lying doctors.

I would not recommend this practice to anyone I know. I was there for an appointment with my mom and entered a very crowded waiting room. I have been with her for most of her appointments so this was not a surprise. I was horrified when a very rude staff member announced if you were given a pager you had to wait outside until you were called. The room was filled with elderly patients most of which were in wheelchairs and walkers. I understand we are under Covid restrictions but to ask a older patient to wait outside in 90 degree weather is inexcusable for 2 or 3 hours !As soon as I find my mother

I would never refer anyone to go to this office. I was seen today by a PA who told me that they didn’t help patients with sickle cell disease, which they could’ve told me before the appointment was made and after the referral was sent by my primary care doctor. During the visit the PA called me colored which is definitely highly offensive to African American people. He also did nothing but talk and he didn’t examine me at all or recommend anything to help my pain at all. This all after waiting to be seen for a hour & a half in the waiting area when I was 20 minutes early for my appointment

I realize this is a pain management business not a time management business(clearly).. but when you make an appointment for 10am and are not seen until 12:30pm and then wait in ANOTHER ROOM for an additional HOUR and claim its because you are "backed up" (because your horrible attempt at scheduling) its very unprofessional. How can you get a medical degree and be so terrible at the simple act of scheduling appointments? Do you guys need new receptionists or a better appointments program?? Either way this place is horrible and I wouldn't recommend unless you have several hours to spare after your

Having made an appointment ten days in advance, I arrived after a fifty mile drive to be told that I would need to be rescheduled. The receptionist said that the staffer performing the procedure I needed had been called away in response to an emergency. I asked why I hadn't been informed only to be told that a message had been left on my home phone two days earlier. In fact, there was no such message. And does this even make sense? If the office knew two days in advance of my appointment, where does the emergency fit in? Such disregard for patients in need of help is simply unacceptable.

First and foremost I like Dr. Joiner! I went to National Pain and Spine in Roanoke and he left was was referred to Joiner. He is a great Doctor but when you are in pain and you have to wait hours - hours and hours to see him this is not good. Appointment at 1:15 and you get called back at 4:40 this is not good business. The office staff is sweet and nice but you have to call this person for insurance issues then you have to call another for billing issues - then another for Christine and then another to get appointment. This is not good for me. Was told they make appointment at the same time for
