The Algoma Sanitary District provides water and sewer services to homes and businesses in the Town of Algoma, Town of Omro and portions of the City of Oshkosh. We are responsible for operating and maintaining the water distribution and sewer collection systems, including wells, reservoirs and pumping stations.

The District's contractor has completed the relocation of our water and sewer infrastructure to accommodate the Town of Algoma's Omro Road Reconstruction Project.

The Algoma Sanitary District provides an ample supply of the highest quality water to residential and commercial properties in the Town of Algoma and Town of Omro. We will do our best to complete our annual unidirectional flushing with little to no effect on our residents. The Algoma Water Utility has three groundwater wells that feed the filtration facilities and supply safe municipal water throughout our service area.
The Algoma Sanitary District aids contractors in the set up and connection to municipal water services for residents in the Town of Algoma and Town of Omro. If you are a contractor looking to install municipal water to service a home or business, the Algoma Water Utility can help make the installation quick and efficient.
When a property owner wants to connect to the municipal water system, they must first determine if their property has a municipal water service valve installed by viewing the Water Availability Map. You can also search existing water service availability by address or by tax roll ID. A contractor will install the water service pipe from the municipal service valve to your home or business.
An Algoma Water Utility resident that is connected to the municipal water system that does not abandon their private well must obtain a well permit to continue utilizing their private well. The form must be submitted to the Algoma Water Utility office within 10 business days of the abandonment completion.

The Algoma Sanitary District Operators perform a variety of inspections for contractors and residents in the District. Please note: we are closed all major holidays and we ask that appointment requests be scheduled in 15-minute intervals between 8:15 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., 24 hours in advance.
