Christensen Well & Irrigation
Hydrostatically powered, T-L's pivot irrigation systems are designed to deliver continuous movement. Gearbox wear is drastically reduced due to the absence of electrically driven system's stop-start operation. Protect your family's health by providing fresh, great tasting distilled water from one of our premium water distillers!

AgSense was the first to integrate Digital Cellular technology to remotely monitor, start and stop a pivot and incorporate it with the monitoring of grain bin temperature, weather, and soil moisture. Featuring Real Time Kinematic (RTK) accuracy and Wheel Angle Sensor (WAS) for true tracking, the package includes the base station, eliminating the need for a subscription.
Services
Established in 1973, Christensen Well & Irrigation, Inc. is built on over 40 years of experience in the water well drilling industry, and the geology of Northeast Nebraska, Southeast South Dakota, and Northwest Iowa. Christensen Well & Irrigation, Inc. is licensed in the states of Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa to construct Irrigation Wells, Domestic Wells, Livestock Wells, and Geo-thermal Heat Loop Wells.
Christensen Well & Irrigation, Inc. is licensed to construct water wells and install pumps in the states of Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. Whether you need a well for a new home, a pasture well, a livestock well, or an irrigation well, Christensen Well & Irrigation, Inc. can complete your project from start to finish.
Christensen Well & Irrigation would like to announce the newest member of our team; Pure Water. Pure Water is a company that has been manufacturing water purification/distillation equipment for over 40 years. Distillation is a perfect solution to purify water for drinking because it removes nitrates, arsenic, biological, organic, inorganic and radioactive contaminants - no filters no hassles.
T-L's exclusive hydrostatic drive design offers substantial advantages not available on electrically driven systems. Each tower of a T-L system moves continuously delivering uniform water application especially important for chemical distribution. Continuous movement reduces the chances of getting stuck and reduces wear on drive components significantly.
Notice the non-uniform water application of the center pivot circles shown. This is known as "spoking, " which results from the start-stop operation of an electric drive pivot system. An electric pivot starts and stops 2,880 times a day at the end tower alone.

Michigan State University field research (Fusco, 1995) verified the significant effect of "spoking" and found application uniformity ranged from 15% to 85% on a leading manufacturers electric drive pivot.Call up Google Earth Maps on your computer and see for yourself. Common sense would say the consequence of "spoking" is lost crop production and that production losses can be even greater if the system is being used for chemigation.
