Pregnancy testing is available by appointment only. Assistance available to help expectant women access services such as WIC, and Medicaid to help promote a healthy pregnancy. Stoddard County Public Health Center provides confidential STD testing, treatment, and education by appointment only. Treatment is available as needed at no cost to the client.

Services are provided, by appointment only, by a highly qualified staff of Registered Nurses to help you stay healthy and happy while improving your lifestyle. Stoddard County Health system regularly checks and provides for safety of food service and lodging in the county. Inspections for all area businesses can be found on our site with regular updates.
Services
Stoddard County Public Health Center was established for the residents of Stoddard County and is funded through county taxes and the state of Missouri. Most services are available to anyone regardless of financial status and are free of charge. We provide services for infants and children, young and middle aged adults, and the elderly population of Stoddard County.
Communicable Disease Reporting protects your health and the Communities health from the threats of uncontrolled infectious disease and disease outbreaks. Such outbreaks may be due to food or water supply contamination and/or bacterial or viral occurrence of disease.

Communicable Disease Nurses, in conjunction with Health Care Providers, uses a surveillance system to quickly identify unusual diseases or an unusual number of cases of a particular disease.Proper control measures are then implemented. Communicable Disease Nurses also ensures that individuals with a Tuberculosis infection or Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) are properly diagnosed.
Family Planning is a confidential clinic for those who are in need of annual exams and birth control. A Certified Nurse Practitioner will perform a breast exam, pelvic exam, and Pap smear to screen for cervical cancer, by appointment. Some Birth control methods need to be prescribed. That's why an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner is required to see which method is right for you.
Health educators teach people about behaviors that promote wellness. They develop and implement strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities. Community health workers collect data and discuss health concerns with members of specific populations or communities. Hygiene: This class is included in the Puberty Classes and is repeated upon request at other levels as necessary.
Immunizations are vaccines that prevent illness, especially in children. Childhood vaccinations are given to all residents of Stoddard County. These include immunizations for those entering school or an adult in need of a Tetanus and Diphtheria booster. Each parent or guardian must present the child's shot record.
