While this may sound professional, a licensed cosmetologist is primarily trained in hair, which means they do not have a background in professional makeup application. Applying makeup that will be photographed, is MUCH different than applying makeup for day to day wear.
A professional makeup artist not only considers your skin tone, hair color and eye color, but also factors in the colors of your dress, your bridesmaids dresses and even more importantly the types of light sources that will be present when your photos are taken.

I'm Tanya - the Founder and Lead Hair Designer and Makeup Artist at Hair & Makeup By Tanya LLC. Behind the brushes, I am a Wyoming native. A collector of simple moments and half full coffee cups. On my days off, you can find my partner and I cozying up at home or exploring the wild with our horses and dogs.

I can not say enough wonderful things about HMUB Tanya. The team was on time and made sure my bridesmaids and I were ready in plenty of time to meet our schedule! Kenzie did an excellent job on our hair which held up through high winds on the top of Mount Rendezvous! Olga is truly an artist with make-up. None of us wear much make-up, and Olga kept it natural, and I loved the way it looked both in person and in photos. I can't say enough wonderful things about this team!

I loved the way my hair and makeup looked for my Fall wedding! I got compliments on both all day (even from strangers!) which goes to show how well it held up, even outside on a windy day and with plenty of tears. (The last photo of my hair is from the end of the day, right before I let it down.) Both the hair and makeup artist were punctual and followed my vision perfectly, and their work showed great both in photos and real life. The hair stylist even let us borrow some hairspray and lip liner for the day, which was extremely kind of her. So glad my wedding planner recommended Tanya!

The communication from the team made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable, even from thousands of miles away. There were reminder emails both regarding payments and preparation for the day of that provided such an ease of mind.
Leading up to the event, Tanya even traveled to our hotel room to do a pop-up spray tan. I will admit, I am rather picky about my spray tans and boy was her spray tan epic...I was glowing. The tan was extremely natural

I had three of Tanyas team members come out to do hair and makeup for myself, bridal party, and even the mothers and grandmothers. I had a big group and we were all over the place, but her team members were so efficient, kind, fun, organized, and left everyone feeling great about themselves! I could not be more thankful for their wonderful service, and Tanya has been the absolute BEST person to work with. There are so many great things to say about her, but most of all she made this experience so easy going and her support was outstanding. 10/10 would recommend, she's the best!

Tanya was amazing from beginning to end. She was so helpful and willing to answer any and all of my questions. On the day of, the bridal suite was lovely and well stocked with brunch items. Her assistance and on site employee, Nikki, was professional, personable, and kept us all on track and happy. We had a larger group (7 total) and the individual artists were all amazing and listened to each person’s specific requests. It poured before and after our ceremony and everyone still looked amazing. It was a pleasure to work with Tanya and her staff, I would absolutely book them again.

Planning a COVID wedding is hard enough, but Tanya made the process of finding hair and makeup stylists for me, my bridesmaids, and my mom a breeze. Tanya is the sweetest, most professional, and incredibly helpful. While she sadly was booked on my wedding day, the team she put together for my wedding day included Katie Miller, Trudi, and Kayla, all of whom are unbelievably talented. My bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning and I could never have imagined feeling so beautiful on my wedding day without Katie's deft hand. At the suggestion of my wonderful photographer (Erin Wheat), I booked Tanya for my February wedding and I highly recommend her and her teams' services; it is one of the best investments you can make for your big day! As an out of stater, I knew little about the hair and makeup options in the Jackson Hole area. I feel very fortunate that my lovely wedding photographer recommended Tanya and her team to me for my wedding day! I would describe myself as a laid-back bride who typically wears little to no makeup and doesn't do my hair on a day to day basis. I couldn't have asked for a better experience on my wedding day than working with Tanya and her team for our hair and makeup. My hair turned out better than I could have ever dreamed! I have long, straight hair that is impossible to get volume, but Tanya made it happen! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, and we all had a blast getting ready. Tanya did my hair and makeup and my Mom's hair and makeup for my October 2016 wedding out in Jackson. She had offered to come to where I was getting ready since there was just my Mom and me getting our hair and makeup done by her and she was super flexible. It ended up raining the morning of my wedding and I switched condos with my parents' condo and let her know a couple hours ahead that I was switching since their condo had more natural light. Tanya has done hair and makeup for us several times for different photoshoots and we couldn't be more pleased, which is why we have used her several times!
