Pilates Sante
In accordance with Santa Clara County's mask mandate, we are asking all staff and clients to wear a mask for the duration of their time in the studio. We are also asking for proof of vaccination. After practicing physical therapy for 6 years, I saw limitations for ongoing therapeutic exercise options, and believed there was a need for Pilates based physical therapy.

As a result, I opened Pilates Sante in 2008. I am passionate about Pilates, having practiced it myself for 20 years, and having seen the life changes it has enabled in my patients over the last 15 years. My goal is to create an environment where you feel welcome, safe, and hopeful about meeting your fitness or rehabilitation goals and improving your quality of life.
Services
Our staff is required to participate in a physical therapist instructed injury training curriculum, so that they can work safely with clients with various conditions. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care, customized one-on-one whole body treatment plans to optimize pain-free living.
Ariel is the founder and owner of Pilates Sante, and a highly skilled Physical Therapist and Pilates Instructor. She has an M.S. in Physical Therapy and a B.S. in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Boston University. She has been practicing as a physical therapist since 2002 and founded Pilates Sante in 2008.
After suffering from years of chronic pain and getting nowhere with numerous other physical therapists, I finally feel like I have my life back, with a renewed level of comfort, strength and tolerance to physical activity. This is thanks to Ariel and her mastery of body mechanics and attention to detail.
Pilates Sante is an out-of-network physical therapy studio. Please check with your insurance provider to determine your out-of-network physical therapy benefits. A doctor's prescription is required, with a diagnosis, or IC-9 code. All patients provide payment at the time of service, and will be provided with an invoice to submit to insurance for reimbursement.
There are a variety of problems and pathology that cause low back pain. These range from joint inflammation, soft tissue and facial tightness, disc herniation, degenerative disc disease, stenosis and lumbar nerve root inflammation or impingement. Low back pain is second only to the common cold as a reason for doctor office visits in the United States.

I found this studio after the pandemic since I was looking for a studio that respected the COVID-19 protocols and I found this amazing place. I needed special attention after twisting both my ankles in 2020 and then twisting and breaking my right foot 6 months later.

The instructors are incredible - Renata is phenomenal, Christine and Traci are amazing too. They care about form, how you breath and are so happy and love what they do. They truly care for us and are so knowledgeable.

The studio is spotless clean and it's easy to schedule online. I am very happy I am working with them!

My husband and I have been clients at Pilates Sante for many years and have had sessions with physical therapists to rehab from various surgeries. We have benefited from each instructor we have had.
Traci has been our pilates instructor for the past 4 months and we have continued to be impressed with her knowledge. She always knows how do adjust a workout and address what our limitations might be for a particular session. She has a gentle and calming manner of instruction and shares a wealth of knowledge. We look forward to her class every week.

Rehabilitating myself at Pilates Sante was life changing for my health! After 2 spine surgeries and Kaiser providing zero rehabilitation, I was forced to find somewhere on my own. Pilates Sante far exceeded my expectations. Gabby and Marcia are extremely knowledgeable and adjusted my sessions to completely meet the needs of my body. I can now say I'm stronger and healthier than ever and it's largely due to the expert help I received at Pilates Sante. I highly recommend Pilates Sante, especially if you're needing rehabilitation post surgery or due to injury.

Pilates Santé is an incredible resource! I tweaked my back at the beginning of Covid, and one of the doctors I saw recommended that I come to Pilates Santé for Physical Therapy. I saw mostly Ariel at the beginning, but there are other extremely qualified (as I later found out) physical therapists, as well, at this wonderful studio. I have worked with a variety of people in the last year here, some therapists, some PTAs/instructors, ALL amazing! After several physical therapy sessions, I "graduated" to private Pilates classes, which I love! I am one of those people who needs someone

I started to see Ariel last summer for my chronical lower back and SI joint issues. She and her team are taking very good care of me. Ariel is an amazing woman. She very professional and she usually hit the root cause. The exercises she gave me treated my issues. She is very honest and really think for her clients. She referred me to a wonderful chiropractor to work on my issues together with her. I got so much stronger, and I know what I should do when I am in pain. I am taking private and pilates sessions in the studio, and all the instructors are amazing!

Amazing! I went to Pilates Effect down the street and almost gave up on Pilates. They pretended to be very nice and welcoming, but after a few sessions I was in pain and I was blamed for the problem

Pilates Sante helped me tremendously!!! They were nice on day 1 and very welcoming. Even better they kept being nice and helpful. I am now pain free and stronger then ever.

Pilates Sante is such a hidden gem. Discovering their style of rehabilitative pilates has truly been life changing for me. I have a lot of problems with my hips and low back and was in near constant pain for many years. Ariel put me on a path toward recovery that Lara then worked with me to implement, and thanks to them I have now been pain free for several years. Now that we're sheltering in place and cannot get to the gym, Pilates Sante's online classes are really helping to keep me pain free and sane! They are a small studio with kind, caring PT's and instructors who work with

I've been at the Studio for over 4 years, and I couldn't be happier!
The attitude is professional, supportive, personalized,
Attentive, and friendly.
The entire facility is spotlessly clean, and the instructors are highly credentialed.if you have an "issue" or injury, there are physical therapists there also.
It's a wonderful place to be!

Ariel and her team are AMAZING, especially for prenatal and postpartum care! They helped me bring my diastasis back together from my first two births, while being pregnant with my third. I felt like my core muscles got "iron man" training leading up to my third birth. I felt the strongest of my three pregnancies and had my easiest and smoothest delivery yet (at home)!

Now just as I've re-started my normal intensive dance classes, they have been cancelled due to the "shelter in home" mandate for COVID-19 so... I just had an awesome virtual Pilates session with Ariel

Pilates Sante is one of the best things I've found in Los Gatos since moving here 6 years ago. The therapists are the best in the business! They are truly experts in their field. When I thought I couldn't get any better, Ariel encouraged me to have hope and to think differently. She was right! I am getting better, and I'm closer to living without pain.

The thing I love the most about this business is the way the therapists truly and sincerely CARE about their patients. I have never felt rushed or like my concerns or questions didn't matter. They are supportive, thorough

Amazing place and very skilled, caring people! When I started going to Pilates Sante, several months after a major surgery, I was afraid to move and had become quite weak. I started working with physical therapists at Pilates Sante about twice a week and noticed rapid improvement. After a few months, I feel like my body has traveled back in time--to how capable and strong I felt before my injury--which has had wonderful effects on my body, mind, and life. I'm now working with their Pilates trainers and attending the mixed equipment classes to maintain and build on this wonderful change. Thank

I have been attending classes weekly for a while now. I have worked with Kate, and Abby predominantly, but have also taken classes with other teachers. They have all been knowledgeable, well trained, and detail oriented. I have had such a positive experience learning subtle ways to move my body and to engage muscles I didn't even know I had! The core stability has really helped me feel more confident in protecting my lumbar spine. I would recommend Pilates Sante to anyone wanting to work out mindfully and gain knowledge about their body. I came in with a few chronic injuries and they have

I've begun pilates lessons in addition to PT and I'm so happy with the instructors and therapists here. Ariel, Therese, Abby and Traci are turning around years of dysfunction and pain. True healing. Tiffany is an amazing office manager - she runs a great office - and Danielle and Tiffany and all the others here are welcoming and helpful. I feel so proud of myself and my progress because of these women. Thank you!

I just love this place! Ariel is both Pilates certified as well as a physical therapist and the combination of both makes her and her staff the perfect place to rehab an injury, or treat post surgical patients. They are also excellent in putting together a fitness plan for beginners and well as experts in Pilates. I have been there myself for my knee and I refer many of my patients there as a physician. I am always assured my patients will get the appropriate care and rehab protocol they need and my patients walk away always loving their sessions.

This is where I send my patients for neuromuscular rehabilitation and training after I have done the manual therapy and basic home ex needed to start their healing journey. It takes a village to be better and mind-body connection through movement and strengthening is where you see long lasting results. Pilates Sante is not only good for the injured person but for true learning of proper Pilates form which is necessary to not become that injured athlete. Ariel, PT offers evaluations for rehabiliation and or muscle imbalance. She is then able to help you decide what your goals are and how to

Fantastic place.

I went to Pilates Sante on the recommendation of Dr. Latha Subramanian. I've got a pinched nerve in my L5 vertebra which, aggravated with arthritis, can cause me severe back pain and limit my activities.

I met first with Ariel, who diagnosed the issue from a physical therapy point of view, and offered a treatment plan. I then began one-on-one sessions with pilates instructors, including Kendra, Lara, and Abby. The instructors have been putting me through my paces, and my schedule has aligned with Abby who has been working with me for the past few weeks. They're all

I have herniated disc at L5/S1 and it's also degenerated. My recovery started with an MRI, X-Ray and a course of prednisone followed by a referral for physical therapy. I worked with three different therapists over a period of sixteen to eighteen months. Each of them got stuck/failed because I was not able to do some of the exercises such as bridges or quadruped opposite arm/leg raise. Each time I would attempt to do them, it would flare up my disc/back pain significantly. Unfortunately, each therapist was not able to find an alternate exercise for me and insisted that I was probably not doing

I would like to give more stars if I could because Pilates Sante has been life changing for me. For several years my back has caused me discomfort. I've tried numerous treatments and all have only seemed to work for a month or so and then I'm back in pain and some times debilitating pain. Since receiving treatment from the staff at Pilates Sante, my back pain has been significantly reduced. If I was to feel a bit of discomfort, they have taught me what to do to make it comfortable again. I wholeheartedly recommend Pilates Sante for treatment. Ariel and her staff are professional

By far one of the best fitness studios I've ever been to. All of their instructors are inspiring and extremely knowledgeable. The owner is a Physical therapist and brings that approach to her sessions (they do cost more, though, but very worth it) to increase strength, stability and pain management when needed.
There are group classes available, but I haven't been able to attend yet.
