Once you get the past the initial Bates Motel vibe (😵‍💫) —-you will realize that why this truly is one of the best kept secret in Healdsburg.Nothing fancy but it ticks all the necessary boxes——super clean, excellent host (Wanda❤️) and a 10-15 min walk to downtown.
❤️Dog friendly (no pet fee like other hotels in the area!)

L&M is a wonderful, family-owned business. The proprietor (Wanda) checked us in and was friendly and a wealth of information regarding the area. We had stayed at L&M a few years ago (10 years ago?) and decided to return. Just like the first time that we visited, we were in Healdsburg during one of the biggest storms that northern California had seen in awhile. Despite this, we still had fun. The room was clean and well-appointed and the king-sized bed had a fun homey quilt. We actually went out to the hot tub in the rain but thankfully it was sheltered from the showers by an overhang

This is our second stay at this motel. I feel like a guest in someone's home when I stay here. Wanda welcomes her guests with a friendly spirit and all kinds of helpful local knowledge. They serve fresh scones for breakfast and each bed has a home-y quilt (peak under the top sheet). The pool comes with noodles, duckies (large and small) and fresh towels. I love this place! If you stay, say hello to Gizmo. He's a good doggie.

This was just what I needed. I had a long day of traveling, and it was great to pull up to L & M with such great service. The owner was lovely, explained the amenities-including a continental breakfast with fresh baked scones. I had a great night's sleep and had easy check out in the morning.

The place is a hidden gem. I almost feel like they should charge a resort fee. I just enjoyed the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. The area is extremely well maintained as I learned this is a fourth generation owners. Staying while on a BMW motorcycle ride. My bike is directly in front of the one floor unit. Exactly the type riders prefer.

I really enjoyed my all-too-brief visit to your "oasis"!
Since it was a working weekend for me, I didn't get to enjoy your many amenities, but it was a clean, comfortable and quiet place.
I will recommend it to everyone that I can and hope I can stay there next year!
P.S. Loved your tri-berry scone!

Refurbished motor court motel. Clean comfortable rooms, I was surprised at the size of the room. Usually these motor court rooms are smaller. Pet friendly rooms. Very good scones in the morning. Will stay here next time we are in the area.

Anytime you're in Wine Country, this is the place to stay. Family owned, not too expensive, very clean and Wanda is personable, kind, thoughtful and a down to earth sweet heart. She inspires me. she made sure to remind us of the pool, sauna and hot tub and took the time to make sure the TV was fixed and working during these election moments lol. The place is very cozy with outdoor games for the kids and the child in all of us. 😜

My stay here was not good. I called to make a reservation and the front desk gave me a good local rate. I went in to check my reservation 2 days prior and Kim at the front desk didn't seem to have it. She also had difficulty reading a calendar. I told her the days, and she jumped ahead a month. When I checked in, the rate was higher and she charged me for the 3 days at that time. She used a window facing Healdsburg Avenue that had a tray that passed back and forth to get keys and sign forms. It was difficult to hear her because of the traffic noise. When I checked out, I asked for

I'm not usually one to make a review but this place exceeded our expectations! The grounds were adorable, Wanda the owner was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean! My daughters loved the pool and jacuzzi and I liked the fact that there was a shower at the pool to rinse off in. Wanda had fresh baked scones waiting for us in the morning along with hard boiled eggs, bananas, juice, coffee, hot cocoa and tea! There was bocce ball, corn hole, and ladder ball on the grass for us to use and a fire pit to warm up at in the evening. If you are looking for a fun, down to earth and relaxing

Wow! What a treat is was staying here! I went up to NorCal for a week and was lucky to drive by this place on the way and decided to check in. So glad I did. Super cool old 50's architecture (which is hard to find these days), but all the modern amenities you could ask for. The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. Love the pool area and the outdoor seating in front of each room. And if you are going to the river to swim and sunbathe, this place is only a 5 minute walk--much much closer than the other newer hotels in town, and quite frankly, the other hotels in town are incredibly

We have stayed here twice now and the proprietors could not be more friendly and accommodating! The fresh homemade scones in the morning are wonderful. Love the fire pit to gather around at night with friends. The rooms are tasteful, clean, and cozy. Also, dog friendly, a huge PLUS! Easy walk into town for bars and restaurants. Great location for exploring wine country. We are already planning our return.

I love the wine country but get tired of all the pretense. The L& M is a great antidote. It's an old-school motel, and is all the better for it. The rates are very good, the place has killer scones for breakfast, and it's lovely to be able to relax under an oak tree and read. Wanda the owner / manager is very cool. It's not as fancy as some places, but give me an oak tree and a place to sit under it over a bad sculpture any day of the week.

We've now got our Healdsburg go-to for lodging.

From the moment I spoke to Wanda on the phone, I knew this motel would be special. I'm sorry I did not meet her, but her suggestions for food & wine at Journeyman Meat were greatly appreciated. Fantastic lunch. Your motel is very clean, quaint and a great location. How can I forget to mention those amazing blueberry scones. The best! Kim, front desk receptionist was a dear as well. Very kind and sincere. Thank you for sharing your hospitality with us. Can't wait to come back.

I almost didn't rate this place because I'm afraid they will become too popular and raise rates. This is the best deal in Healdsburg and is run by a very sweet and down to earth woman. It is not fancy but it has a lot of beautiful landscaping and personal touches. It also has a heated pool, hot tub and sauna. There is even a grill and fire pit. Again it is not fancy but it's perfect to me and I love it here.

This 40's era, family-owned motel is a little homeslice away from home.

With welcoming Wanda & her faithful dogs serving as your humble hosts, you'll feel right at home whether you're just ambling through for one night or on a week-long bender through wine country.

Highlights include:
+ Homemade blueberry scones every morning!

+ Super duper clean rooms w/hardwood floors

+ Location: 10 min walk to downtown, 10 min walk to Memorial Beach @ Russian River for a refreshing dip

+ Rooms: while cozy-sized, they've been updated with modern touches like in

This little motel is super sweet. So is the owner!! Quirky, clean, unique....lots of outdoor common area options and easy access off the highway. Regarding the price, it's NOT expensive for Healdsburg. Anyone who thinks it is hasn't spent much time in wine country!! Nice pool area, plus lawn games! Oh, and it's pet-friendly. We'll be back!!!

This place was perfect for our needs. We went to the Wilson Family Wineries Chili Cook Off and ended up over imbibing, so we needed a place to crash for the night. L & M is very quaint and comfortable. I enjoyed the bed & linens, so cozy and comfy! It's a pretty basic room with everything you need, including a wine opener! The grounds were so colorful with Adirondack chairs arranged throughout the yard. Lola's Market is right next door and although the property is conveniently located to the freeway and downtown Healdsburg, the neighborhood was quiet. We paid $189, which seems

Seriously folks ... 5 STARS for a MOTEL! This isn't a Fairmont or a Wynn for any means for as far as Motels go, this is 5 STARS in my book.

Of course I trusted my faithful Yelpers to help guide me to the right place at the right price point since I'd never stayed in the area before and was most certainly on a tight budget. I called several months in advance and spoke with a very kind woman on the phone who really worked some magic finding me a room for only one night. I had no idea at the time that the weekend o was inquiring about was Barrel Tasting weekend. I completely lucked out
