We usually start with a simple guided breathing meditation and brief Buddhist prayer followed by a talk on how to incorporate meditation and Buddhist principles into daily life. Buddha explained that all our problems and suffering arise from confused and negative states of mind, and all our happiness and good fortune arise from peaceful and positive states of mind.

Services
KMC Texas is an international meditation center located in the Dallas West End Historic District, with branches around the DFW Metroplex. KMC TX was established in 1994 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and is now a thriving spiritual community that welcomes people from all walks of life. The center is part of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union which has over 1200 centers and branches worldwide.
We are offering a class on Wednesday at 7 pm, a class on Sunday at 11 am, and daily lunchtime meditations from noon to 12:30, Tuesday through Friday. These drop-in classes are open to everyone. You do not have to pre-register. Some classes have fees and some are by donation; however, no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.

Our Sunday classes will focus on a chosen book on teachings from the New Kadampa Tradition. Each series will run for an extended period to complete the book. Members receive discounts on classes, day courses, and special events. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and the proceeds from all memberships dues, classes, and courses go to helping to bring peace into the hearts of this and future generations. Free unlimited admission to all Drop-in meditation classes, short guided meditations and branch classes throughout the region.
