I had bought a dress to my daughter's wedding in Cary. 2 months later when I went to get it they couldn't find it and when they did no alterations had been done. Luckily I had a backup dress but it needed a lot of alterations. I took it to Thu's to see if they had time to help me. We were 2 and a half weeks from the wedding. The woman there said it would be no problem and would have it done in 10 days. She called 8 days later and said it was ready. She did a beautiful job on the dress. You couldn't even tell it had been altered. It was amazing work. The price was very reasonable

I had a dress custom made that turned out perfectly -- exactly like the picture I gave them. I was blown away by the craftsmanship and attention to detail. It was a great experience and I'll definitely use thu's for all my custom clothing and alterations in the future!

Thu's Tailoring is my go-to tailor in town. It's obvious they have years of experience and I've always been very happy with their work. They pay great attention to detail, their prices are reasonable, and they are upfront about requests that may be difficult. I know I can trust them with all of my tailoring needs.

They did a fantastic job altering my fiancé's dress and my jacket. It only took a week, and we are completely satisfied with the job they did. Lovely people to work with, will definitely go back :)

I’ve been going to this shop for years—and have always had a wonderful experience. They are quick, diligent and reasonably priced. As someone who is very particular, I appreciate their careful attention to detail and the quality of their work. Time after time (with sometimes difficult alterations) I leave pleased with her work.
She is also so sweet and considerate. During Covid, I had a dress altered and she made a mask from the scraps. I was so touched and pleasantly surprised at her ingenuity.

They did an outstanding job on my daughter's wedding dress.
3 Layers of hem, removing the pockets, taking it in in the bodice. I'd post pictures but the wedding hasn't happened yet. Not an elaborate dress - but very delicate material that if not altered correctly - it would show in how the dress fell. I recommend them highly.

The owners are very friendly and take their time to understand what you are requesting. Sometimes when you're not sure, they give you their opinion, which I found helpful at times. If an item can't be reasonably tailored, they will be honest with you and won't force unnecessary work. I have had several items tailored by them and all came out exactly as I requested. I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially for the quality of work they do. I'd definitely recommend them for any tailoring needs you may have.

I had good expectations for Thu's Tailoring going in based on the reviews but ultimately had a terrible experience. I went in to get the top tulle layer of a dress shortened a few inches- a simple request. I arrived and was the only one in the shop but then the tailor left me standing with my dress on while she helped other customers who came in after me, even leaving the store multiple times while I just waited for her. When I got the dress back, I saw that the tulle had been cut unevenly, exposing the slip layer in some places and was not the length that I had specified. I will not be coming

Thu's tailoring did a great job altering my wedding gown! Embroidered lace is pretty delicate; it was altered for length and also width, being that it was 1.5-2 sizes too big. Thu even had the great idea to sew in a bra. When I was nervous about the price of the alterations, they were willing to take out the pins so that I could get a second opinion. In the end, they cut me a deal with the tax. Thank you Thu and staff!

BRIDES TO BE: Trying to find the right tailor to cut and tweak the dress you just spent x amount of time picking out is nerve racking. At least, it was for me! I had a few people recommend Thu's to me so we went it and gave it a try. Happy to say they did a wonderful job! The dress fits perfecly! Priced reasonably with GREAT customer service! I highly recommend giving them a try!

We have been customers of Thu’s Tailor Shop for 30 years. It’s family owned very friendly pleseant atmosphere.Their work is excellent and I recommend her shop to all my family and friends. Sometimes to strangers that ask if I know of a good tailor. I immediately recommend Thu’s. They are very caring a take lots of pride in doing a good job and providing customer satisfaction. So excited to have discovered this spot right by my house. They are kind, quick and well priced. Turned the pants I needed fixed right around in a day!

All I can say is wow! My wife and I brought in a men's small combat shirt, as they don't make a women's combat shirt. She completely reworked the shirt to fit my wife, and it doesn't just fit, it's flattering on her! Alterations would be putting it mildly, she basically made a custom shirt out of the fabric provided and we couldn't be happier.

I brought a leather jacket and vintage fur coat , both were a SEAM-ingly complicated project and she tackled it and won. I've also brought in some pants and a dress that were wonderfully done and timely, they are all friendly and awesome !
