Services
Step Forward Day School is a premier early childhood education provider located in Franklin, TN. Owned and operated by Tina Locke and Janet Chapman, Step Forward educates children 18 months-5 years of age and also offers summer extension programs for ages six and up. Since opening in 2003, our school has consistently earned the highest available "3 Star Rating" through the Tennessee Star-Quality Program each year.
We believe that learning should be fun, and that each student should have opportunities to learn in a variety of ways. Our primary goal is to provide a caring, nurturing, Christian environment for our students and their families while providing the tools to ensure academic success when our children reach the highly competitive Williamson County School System.
Our programs run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with after-care available until 5 p.m. Summer Program: Ages 18 months-5 years. Our summer session is a time of active play, high-energy outdoor fun, a camp-like experience of crafts, music, games and lots of wild and wacky activities. In addition, we will continue to stress academic milestones and give plenty of opportunities for skill development and review.

We have fallen in love with everyone at Step Forward Day School. They really took us under their wing and the love and commitment they have for the children that attend their school is so clear. We are so thankful for every teacher and administrator. My son absolutely loves every day and always comes home so happy. If you are looking for the best spot for your child, this is where you want to be. Thank you for making our experience so special. You guys are doing it right!

Best school I found in Franklin after 6 months of search. My son (4 yrs old) had great time here. The teachers (Ms.Dawn & Ms. Lara) were just awesome. Everyone is super friendly and never had any complaints from any corner. The way they teach and care is fantastic. My son shows great improvement in first 3 months itself.
