Services
Accepting patients in Florida, District of Columbia and many US states and internationally. I offer my services remotely through video conferencing, also referred to as telemedicine, teletherapy or telehealth. Except for Medicare, my practice is not contracted with any other insurance companies. Therefore, I am considered an "out-of-network" provider.
Self destructiveness, difficulty making decisions, feelings of shame, sadness, self-criticism, insecurity, struggling in relationships, hopelessness, perfectionism, as well as ruminating about the past and obsessing about the future, are common reasons people seek help.

If your partnership is challenged in any of these areas, you have good reason to seek help. In the day to day, it may feel easier to not rock the boat. But why resign yourself to merely bearing out your relationship? Nothing from a manual or scripted in my approach to couples counseling. I am guided by your specific challenges and by who you are as individuals.
Originally, from the New York area, I received my graduate degree and postgraduate training in Washington, DC. After ten years in private practice there, I relocated to Sarasota, Florida in 2016. Through video conferencing, I am able to offer my services to patients in most US states and internationally.
Studying various methods for treating mental health conditions, I searched for what would deliver the most effective and most immediate results. Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (IS-TDP) turned out to be superior to any other methods I found. This model requires the therapist to be both emotionally responsive and acutely analytical in order to help patients move from suffering to healing.

I can attest, as I know his work well, that Jeffrey Frank is a very competent, dedicated, caring, and focused therapist. I referred people to him frequently when his practice was still located in Washington, DC, and I continue to recommend him for people who must use video-based therapy. (And I certainly would not hesitate to refer anyone within driving distance of Sarasota to him for an initial consult.) He is particularly good with anxiety, depression, and alcohol and drug abuse.
