At Portland Mattress Makers, we've been handcrafting mattresses for more than 80 years. When it comes to getting a great night of sleep on a comfortable mattress, we are the experts. Our team will customize your mattress so that it suits your needs - helping you sleep better and wake up refreshed. We build innerspring mattresses, latex mattresses, pocket coil mattresses, and memory foam mattresses.
The pricing for custom-sized mattresses is fairly straightforward. It is based solely on the width of the mattress. To price a custom-sized mattress, measure the widest point of your space into which you'd like to place a custom mattress, go to the next size larger, and add $150. For example, if you have an antique bed that is 57 inches wide, the next size up is a queen.
It's common (and quite flattering) when we get calls from people who've slept on our mattresses while vacationing along the coast of Maine or enjoying a weekend relaxing in the Northeast. Portland Mattress Makers on Fox street in Portland, Maine will help you find the right mattress for you! We have bought all our mattresses from Portland Mattress. They are comfortable, well built, and they last! I have one that is now 10 plus years old, a king! The customer service is outstanding. I called Portland Mattress before Christmas and was able to take care of ordering a mattress over the phone. I will continue to use Portland Mattress for any of our future needs!

The very best mattress that I have ever purchased! The purchase was without pressure and the delivery was made at the time and date that they provided when I bought it. in addition, the mattress was made locally and the price was competitive with the big name stores. Bonus...a pound of locally roasted coffee was delivered with the mattress!

It was fun and educational when visiting Portland Mattress on our recent search for new bedding. We tried all the possibilities and found the most suitable one for our sleeping tastes, put in our order and waited just a couple of weeks for our custom-made mattress to be delivered and the old one carted away. The experience from sales through delivery was amazing. The sales person we worked with was very knowledgeable, patient, and worked with us to find the perfect mattress for our needs. Production and delivery were on-time. The delivery people communicated their time of arrival so we were prepared, and they were extremely polite and respectful of our property as they brought the mattress in and put it in place.
