Services
Rita Brikina has been part of the Thousand Oaks Smile Design team since the practice opened. With a warm and welcoming personality, Rita enjoys helping our patients and getting to know them. Rita is happily married with two beautiful children. In addition to spending time with her family, Rita enjoys working out at the local Pilates studio.
Daniel Elbert, DDS was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU Dr. Elbert finished an honors program in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Elbert provides a full range of dental services encompassing prevention, restorative, orthodontics, implant, and cosmetic dentistry.
Upgrading the patient experience with state-of-the-art equipment and high-tech procedures. The iTero Intraoral Scanner is synonymous with high precision. Its parallel confocal imaging technology uses optical and laser scanning to achieve high precision and accuracy without powder or complicated hovering.

I Have been neglecting the dentist for a number of years so when I went to smile design, I knew they had their work cut out for them.
My hygienist Courtney was like a surgeon. Very thorough and gentle. Plus, despite it being a busier day Dr. Elbert made it a point to get to know me as a patient.
All in all it was a great experience! It makes sense why the Rams chose them as their official dentist.

Again, Dr Elbert's office got me in on the same day that I called in pain! Dr Elbert is attentive, careful, professional and caring! He and his office staff treat everyone as a VIP! Everyone goes the extra mile, every time!

For years I was afraid to go to the dentist. Then I needed a root canal and made an appointment with Dr. Elbert. He put me at great ease with his gentle manner. I have been seeing Dr. Elbert and his staff now for two years and no longer fear going to the dentist. His staff is so cordial and his technicians and assistants are absolutely wonderful. Thank you!

Since I was a child I've always had issues with my teeth. I've been to a few different dentist in TO. I started going to this office a few years ago and they are the best by FAR. They had to basically redo everything my previous dentists had done because it was all botched. I never feel uneasy or a chance I'm getting unnecessary procedures/ripped off like I did at my previous dentist. Along with regular scheduled appointments, they go above and beyond to get me in when it's an emergency. They are all so kind, make all procedures super comfortable and they have Netflix on for

I have been a patient of Dr. Elbert’s since he first arrived to Thousand Oaks. Originally I was with Dr. Byrnes, then he left and Dr. Asdel came in, then he left and Dr. Elbert showed up. I was a little put off, being handed around like that and was going to head out and find a new Dentist, but though I’d give Dr. Elbert a try. After my first visit I knew I was going to stay. He was very gentle, thorough and my teeth were happy too.

This has only been my second visit and I love this office. Everyone from Vanessa at the front desk to Christina who cleaned my teeth made me feel welcome. Christina did an exceptional job and gave me good advice! Vanessa even came in when my co-worker from upstairs wanted to get my lunch order. Who else can say their lunch order was taken at the dentist? This office exudes kindness which is what I love most about this office. I have just made the switch to Dr. Elbert based upon a referral and could not have been more satisfied. What a professional, friendly, relatable office. It was clean and beautiful! I could not have been more impressed with the thoroughness of the initial exam and consultation, wow! I had a cracked crown and called to see if I could get in for a quick fix because I was afraid it would completely break while eating dinner. They said come over now and within 10 minutes I was out and fixed. Such a great team. Can't wait to go back and put my new crown on with these wonderful friendly team of experts. Thank you so much.

I have been going to Dr. Elbert for over five years. I have found every staff member, from Dr. Elbert, to his hygenists, and the office staff to be the most professional I have ever encountered in a dental practice.
My last visit is a perfect example. I was ten minutes late for my appointment and insted of making me feel guilty, they seemed genuinely concerned as to why I was delayed. They make you feel welcomed are relaxed from the moment you walk in.
My hygenist, Rachel, is the best! She truly cares about her patients and is a very knowlegeable professional.

As usual, my appointment experience was fantastic! Rachel cleaned my teeth today. She is very skilled, professional, gentle, kind, thoughtful and thorough! Rachel is EXCELLENT!

I was hesitant to go anywhere during the Covid-19 outbreak, however I felt reassured with all the extra precautions this office has taken. From measuring your temperature to the cleaning after use of every item. To filling in all your forms online, prior to your visit and asking you to wait in your car until they are ready for you. Everything is running super smoothly.
Dr. Elbert is always so kind and won't force unnecessary fillings or procedures, which I appreciate as many dentists out there will try and push you to have things done, just for the money. Not here!

Best experience with a dentist I’ve ever had. So many patient and caring people work here, and they thoroughly answered every question I had. I have a reflex that has previously made dental work a challenge, but Rachel - one of many exceptional hygienists/technicians who work there - was very understanding and made treatment painless. I no longer fear dental work and am actually excited about my follow-up appointment in early September.

I am finally getting around to doing a Yelp review.
Dr. Elbert has been our family dentist since 2009. He is gentle and kind. The staff is professional and extremely competent. During this time(COVID-19 pandemic) you can feel totally safe going to the dentist. They have safety precautions set in place following CDC guidelines. I have always been impressed with the caring disposition of the staff. After every procedure they check in to make sure you are doing ok. They really care. Thank you Dr. Elbert and staff for being AMAZING!
