Ace Hardware

Needed some basic rv parts and they had what I needed. Sales staff are knowledgeable and professional. 4 stars due to price of one part being high priced. They had it and otherwise would have had to order it online.

Love making a trip to this store when I am in that area. One of the biggest stores I've been in that carry products that I haven't seen since I was growing up. And the staff is wonderful. And you can find one when you need help. And the welcome pets too, and they even gave her treats. Thank you ACE Hardware

Wow. Walked in this place and found all kind of good stuff. From hardware, camping, fishing, boating, home decor, clothes..... Was impressed for a hardware store. Nice one stop shop.

They're extremely nice... in person, but don't call them, or you'll be waiting on the phone forever, and most of the time they have no idea what part you need, or simply the call "drops".

Made a purchase from here i asked multiple times from two different employees and then the next day upon trying to return the item I was turned down I even reached out to the owner and he said he was going to look into it but he never contacted me back and never bothered to call so this reflects my rating j will be spending 250 plus attorney fees bringing them to small claims court over a $100 item out of principle alone .. this is misleading and unprofessional. I liked the store until this experience . Its a shame some people got to be this greedy

Had an issue with ACE rewards points. Pete the manager took time and resolved this issue, this store and employees are always ready to help you find something or deal with any issues you may have. I would have rated this store 5 stars but they do not have a discount for VETERANS. They do offer double points for VETS though. In my opinion that would only help those that shop with ace on a daily basis.

Wow. Love this place, besides the fact it has everything you could want in a hardware store it has tons of stuff you didn't know you wanted or needed! Including Tons Beautifully crafted beach decor! Way to much to even list, always clean and plenty of associates to help and they always offer to helpful. Clean and classy public bathrooms too showing the clean sign in sheet was completed and up to date! The people here have always been extremely helpful, A tall male associate "Leland" went out of his way today to help me drag multiple plastic totes and trash cans out to my truck

This is the best store. They are always helpful with a smile and my weekend home as they have everything I need and are so close. They were the first ones open after the storm and helped this community recover. I can't say enough how blessed Ed we are to have them!

Just bought a home in Rockport and do alot of my own work so I need materials. Ace is the closest to me so i tried it for several items from paint to harware stain. They have alot of stuff here and its a nice store. Pros: Good staff (one grouchy paint guy) Good selection, some lumber, household and fishinfg tackle. Cons: it is expensive. So would I return? Yeah orobably for some things. The staff are so friendly. If you dont want to go to other stores and feel like you could get shanked and want to get treated like a human this is a good place.

Went to buy propane for a 7 gal tank for an rv. Was told to either pay by the tank (which is NOT legal any longer in TX) for $24.99 (assuming the tank is empty, that equates to $3.57/gal) or pay $5.87 per gal to top off the tank; which makes absolutely NO SENSE and is extremely high!! The propane place on the south edge of town charges $3.10/gal; Tractor Supply 13 miles away charges 2.79/gal. You can probably guess where I'll be buying my propane. Definitely not ACE!!

We were very fortunate we only had minimal damage to are home I feel sorry for the other people in this town that had major damage to their home I helped as much as I could did a lot of free work removing debre I love my town of Rockport an Ace Hardware has been a big contributor to my love for Rockport their store is remarkable I'm had so much fun here in Rockport lived here all my life a love my family most of them still live here also I love Jesus most of all I think GOD for getting us through the tight spot we were in when HARVY came to our city thank you all for being so generous once again

ACE Hardware combines the friendly, problem-solving attitude of old hardware stores with a wonderfully stocked, modern facility. Melvin and Susan love a challenge and are happy to engineer a solution. Every employee we met was knowledgeable, cheerful and ready to help.
My engineer father and I used to get a complimentary bag of popcorn and wander the aisles for fun. He's gone now. ACE hardware is still the interesting, well stocked place he loved.

This ACE RIPS OFF everyone who brings their 20lb propane tanks there for refill.
First off they refuse to bleed the air out of the tank while filling them. They insist that you don't do that to this size tank. I travel and live in my 5th Wheel full time and have had my tanks refilled hundreds of times and EVERY OTHER PLACE has bled the air out EVERY TIME.
Secondly - they charge by the size of the tank - not by the amount of actual propane they put in the tanks.
I could tell by feel that my tanks were only partially filled. To confirm that I was correct I weighed the tanks when I got back

Although we swore we'd never return to this place (see previous review), after Hurricane Harvey we needed a couple of keys made and there were no locksmiths open. So.. we decided to try ACE :\ Not surprisingly, only one key worked, but this is the norm for places like this that don't have the proper equipment to copy a key. Since it was $2.16 for that one copy, Mrs. P decides to get her money back the next time she's in the area (she had the receipt; it was like four or five days afterwards when she revisited ACE).

Ever been to one of those stores that has aisles and aisles of all sorts of things, but NEVER has the one item you came in to purchase ? This is the place guaranteed not to have exactly what you need, every time.

One thing is for certain, if Lowes or The Home Depot ever come to Rockport , this place is history! This place is way overpriced & the so called "Ace Rewards" card is a joke by pretending to save the customer money on merchandise that is ridiculously overpriced. The checkout maze you have to navigate just to get in line to pay for your items is confusing and also a joke. At best, Ace of Rockport is a high priced below average hardware store for the average shopper.

I live in Rockport and recently saw a commercial for Ace Hardware and how they have staff who are lightbulb experts and because they are not a big box store, they'll spend time helping you. This was definitely not the case at this Ace Hardware. I arrived last week needing some help picking out the correct light bulbs. Once I found the lightbulb isle, I asked for help from the nearest associate. She must not have had time to assist me so she put a call out for another associate to meet me in the lightbulb isle. Very nice store with lots of stuff. This use to be an old Walmart and Ace repurposed it. Some prices seemed to be a little high, but they have everything from fish equipment to home decor, hardware, BBQ stuff, kitchen stuff. You name it they've got it.

I love what Ace has done with the new merchandise, and I'm a huge believer in buying local. Unfortunately, today's Ace experience was atrocious because of an employee who was rude to my children. I know bad kids, and am the first to say when my kids take things too far. But when a business set up a display with a bunch of toys, and children start to play with the toys under the watchful eye of a mother and grandmother who are prepared to spend a lot of money, isn't that sort of the point of the businesses' marketing? This is such a great place to have in Rockport! They've got all your hardware needs. The store is well lit, clean, and well organized. I love that in a hardware store.
I was impressed how clerks wander the aisles, ready to answer questions. When I asked where an item was, they didn't just point me towards the aisle, they put down the price gun, and walked me across the store to find what I was looking for. Their service is top notch.
They have plenty of cashiers at the front, for a speedy checkout. Also, they have a friendly return policy, which was also appreciated!
Parking is easy

Ace is ok for items needed right away. They're very pricy and as this store is new, 95% of their items don't have a price on them. The people are super nice and very willing to help.

Love this store!! The people are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you. They have all the usual hardware things and then lots of other fun toys, outside accessories and furniture, fishing stuff and cool and interesting things for inside your home.
