Tenera thread is fabulous once you learn how to use it! The clear thread is great for light colored fabrics. Darker colored fabrics should use matching or a contrast thread. Setting up your machine for using this thread has a definite learning curve. Sailrite definitely needs to make a video on how best to set up your machine to have a successful sew out. I spoke with a technician and he helped me set mine up. Worlds best support at Sailrite!

I love the web site - and their service is excellent not problems with actually but one problem : the Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1 PLUS Walking Foot Sewing Machine is a disaster. Don't know why the reviews of this machine are so good - I spent a lot of money on it - it has been repaired thrice by the local expert who does the sewing work for the sail lofts locally. The last go round was a meltdown of the machine. So... I'm auctioning it on ebay with no minimum. Waste of time. The parts are not real metal parts - it's molded or cast... lite duty metal from China. I'm picking up a

I just finished my first project with the Sailrite Fabricator. I sewed new front seat covers for my 1966 Saab.
It didn't take much time to get used to the new machine. I think the hardest was to stop scaring myself by mixing up the knee lift and the foot pedal. That made me jump every single time.
I finally slowed the top speed way down and that helped greatly. I think it is old muscle memory from one of the old singers I had that had knee bar control.
Anyway, the new covers look like a professional did the work! So much so, that I think the finished covers are going to spend another week

Horrible shipping times.! I know the pandemic situation is going on, but I'm an upholstery shop and need my items in a timely manner. It's been 5 days now and my order is still pending to be pulled.
The frustrating part is, the lady on the phone said they can get it out sooner if I pay more. So for more $$$ they can ship faster? Bad business.
Sailrite , please consider your volume customers.

Shipping times are outrageous; I assume this is due to COVID-related issues. I also only received part of my order, and had to wait another week for the issue to be resolved. However, the items are high quality, the people I talked to were responsive, and the instructional videos and calculators on their website are some of the best how-to guides I've ever seen. This made my wire-hung canopy project easy to complete with in-depth, step-by-step instructions.

It's been a while since I placed the order, but everything came faster than expected, despite the COVID-19 delays. The website was a little tricky when placing the order (cart would empty or show as empty but actually not be upon checkout), but eventually, I was able to make it work.

I'm making curtains for my entire house and found the most perfect hardware and weights that not only made sewing easy, but also created the most beautiful pleating. My office chair is high quality in every way, except for the seat cover, which was very thin but stretchy — almost like a balloon. I had only had the chair a few months when the material split and began to peel away. I was so happy to find this soft, substantial, leather-like material with stretch! I expect it to last very well, and it feels nice.

I first heard about Sailrite via a Google search for a sewing tutorial for box cushions with piping/welting. It was the best tutorial I have come across. I love your website too. Excellent customer service and great videos with concise instructions. I had already ordered fabric when I discovered the Sailrite site, otherwise I would have ordered it from this company and would have saved money! Both times I ordered from them, the product was here in 4 days. Really appreciated the cording being on a reel, made it easier as I sewed the piping.
