Our reservations at Luna Lake Forest Service campground were canceled at the last minute and we were scrambling to find other accommodations. Bob came to the rescue! Bob and his wife are the best campground owners I've ever experienced. They were very helpful, the bathrooms and laundry were extra clean, and just plain nice.

We stayed here in the spring and had an amazing time.
Pros:
The location is perfect. The hosts are very nice and willing to help with anything. Beautiful scenery with almost daily elk sightings! Be careful on the roads, especially the highway! Great amenities with propane, ice, clothes washers and dryers, bring the quarters!
Cons:
The RV spaces are small and very close together. There are full time residents and walls are thin so it isn’t secluded and quiet.
We will certainly stay here again, hopefully they do a remodel and expand the site spaces.

Basic park, I see why they don't post photos on their website. Scant trees for shade. It's a place to park for a good price and get the amenities. I wish there was a shuttle into town for groceries, even if it were twice a week. I'd pay.
I did see a UFOs about 2am for three nights in a row. First night it was a totally round shape like a flying saucer, pretty big, about the size of the whole park flying just over the trees totally silent. The next two nights they were boomerang shaped with orange/yellow swirling lights in the bottom very large flying at about 150 feet. That made the stay worth

We arrived in Alpine, AZ on an early spring trip through the Gila National Forest. Thankfully We just missed a snow storm and ready to shut it down. Found this RV park was treated Very well and he parked us in our space. I had mentioned that my wife wanted to see some elk. After we were settled he stopped by and said there were some elk out in a grass field so we got a very nice view of the elk. The RV park has full hook up minus the cable, no big deal just watch the elk!!!

I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on my stay here, it’s not really fancy pants, but I’ll tell you!,The owners are salt of the earth, I took off and did some Boondock camping where I blew my clutch, Bob and his wife let me come in and take a shower every other day while my clutch was being fixed. I am definitely looking forward to coming back next summer for a month!
